I have put in bold italics my corrective changes. I deleted a couple of words and a full stop from the main paragraph below to restructure the sentences.

I have talked publicly about the fact our research hints that the remains of an alien mothership may have impacted the ice in Antarctica, potentially allowing for recovery of frozen technologies (smaller craft, escape pods etc). It certainly seems some of our work is borrowed here - unless someone received the same account but parts have been lost through it being a second or third hand account.
