In some cases, stupidity can be replaced with simple lack of knowledge which itself can sometimes be attributed to willful ignorance, bias or just being a dick.
In the case of some here, being honest about trans people would be better expressed in FlyersFan's thread Do you hate certain people?
Certain initialed, horse riding hat wearing people who like bunnies have intensely and passionately disliked this topic for years evidenced by their obsessive compulsion to negatively comment whenever it comes up.
