It's never learned behaviour.

Edit: and as a more general discussion is veering off-topic, as pointed out, I think it's important to note the specific anger that is often behind incidents like this. I don't think there's any amount of tolerance or acceptance that can eliminate it, although we certainly can always do a better job of understanding that everyone is on their own particular journey. I think it must be admitted that much of it stems from reality itself not accommodating even the most fervent desires of people to be something that they simply are not. And refusal to acknowledge that as it would be somehow admitting defeat of the trans-acceptance agenda, well, that's part of the problem.

Actually, no. The single largest factor is still, to my knowledge, prior military service.

I am using the link below to show how easy it is to get meth within indigenous communities in Canada, and I would surmise also that white people would also be able to access it easily. So that could also be a factor in pushing someone over the edge.

I don't think he was indigenous..this has nothing to do with that.

He was on huge doses of SSRI's, I read 280mg, where 200mg is suggested as a maximum dose. He had a history of mental health issues going back years. At one point the police removed the firearms from the house he lived in, but someone in the household petitioned to have them returned.
