Those same people last week: NO KINGS! NO DICTATORS!

Those same people today: FREE MADURO!

Lol   You have a good point!   That's true! Lol

Mexico sucks with too many poor people to sustain and wouldn't be worth it.
Canada is beautiful but there are too many whacked lefties.
Greenland is the only one worth the effort.
Again, another interesting take/propaganda via X.com... insinuating

Trump may have told China.

Hey, you get off my cloud...

FWIW,

Ken no doubt seems plugged in. The question is he correct?

At the very start of the new year, President Trump made a bold declaration: “America? Of course it’s the Americas for Americans! In my backyard, I decide how resources are allocated!” In fact, 48 hours before President Trump issued the order for action, Maduro had already humbly promised to redirect oil exports from China to the United States. If what President Trump wanted was merely “business,” he could have signed the deal immediately. Trump scoffed at this and told Rubio: “Ignore it.” What President Trump wanted was a “clean sweep.” As long as Maduro remains in power, the CCP’s energy penetration into Venezuela cannot be eradicated. Through regime change, the United States can legally declare all contracts signed by the Maduro government invalid—including loans—thereby physically erasing Xi Jinping’s strategic foothold in South America. Using military action to remove political obstacles in exchange for American companies gaining control over the world’s largest oil reserves—and then having those companies “make money for the nation”—perfectly aligns with his “America First” governing logic. The ultimate purpose of geopolitics is to serve U.S. economic interests, and oil prices were forced down by President Trump just like that. So far, Chevron is the only oil giant to receive a Treasury Department waiver, allowing it to continue operating in Venezuela under sanctions. Its lobbying in Washington ensured an American “corporate presence” in Venezuela and laid the groundwork for a full takeover down the line.

China Won’t Bleed for You — Maduro Just Proved It.

Being China’s Partner Is a Fatal Mistake.

China spent over $100 billion propping up Venezuela

— then watched as its “ironclad ally” was arrested and flown out in a flawless U.S. operation.

This video breaks down the surreal timeline of Maduro’s arrest,
why China’s “all-weather partnership” collapsed in real time,
and the brutal lesson every regime flirting with Beijing just learned.
When pressure hits, China doesn’t protect you. It exposes you.

Watch how today China Lost Credibility in the Western Hemisphere.

But change is

Placing sanctions on Venezuela crippled their ability to produce oil affordably and they needed another source of income.

Replacing the dictator Maduro with a government will open the door to rejuvenating oil sales.

Replacing the government via a board with Trump at the helm hardly equates to any sort of legitimate rule.

I'm sure it will do wonders for oil sales in the long run.

But the average Venezuelan person, not so much.

What do the Venezuelan local governors have to say about this entire shebang?

By the looks of the matter rather a few Venezuelan ministers and military leaders have condemned the operation as foreign aggression.

And are calling for resistance and sovereignty protection.

They are denouncing the U.S. attack as a violation of international law.

The Monroe Doctrine was written when we were still dealing with "Great Britain."  We had just bought The Midwest from France, who got it back from Spain...  or however that went.  It was about colonial European powers.  Who then all went after Africa instead.

Does the original context of these things really matter? Or which North part of America it was referring to?

Anyway, today was sorta like waking up to the headline, "The USA takes over South American Country."  The lunatics are in my digital newsfeed.

And it's all on the darkside, at least half the time...

Well your dark side has Venezuela celebrating in the street.
As of today the exchange rate is 1.00 USD = 30,062,197.96 VEF.. gotta love socialism as it makes everyone except the rich control freaks equally miserable ! I hope their economy can get turned around quickly.

Problem being that Venezuela is somewhat polarised, heavily censored, and chaotic right now.

Selective clips from socialmedia prove little.

And showing street videos doesn't equal a country celebrating.

When things fall apart, or become unhinged, you always find some people cheering.

Others will be terrified.

But most of them will be just trying to survive.

Wondering where their next meal will come from or what's going to happen to their bank accounts.

So true and the media that I watch show the people there in supermarkets buying as much food and supplies as they can but saying that they don't have the money to buy too much. But this isn't about the people now is it?
