I don't want us to lose. That's why I advocate we don't get too involved. 

I have more decades to go, I don't want my nation bogged down in war while we're 40t in debt and inflation only going up. I have to live, ya know?

If we do have to fight a war, I'd hope it would be reserved for a more immediate threat... One that everyone agrees on, and we go about in a constitutional way.

The sad truth is that this war is only lasting this long because Trump is playing nice about the whole thing. If America wanted to drop a bunch of MOABs all over Iran, or nukes even, there really isn't anyone who will try and stop it.

If you say Russia will or China, then you really need to see the kind crap these countries put out on the field compared to the US. 

I think DB Cowboy is right though in what would be considered a victory, but never forget that the US can end this war in a brilliant flash of light if Trump wanted to.

I don't think nuking a country that we started a war with reflects the values I want about America.

Nor do I think that makes us any better than them. If we are saying it's horrible how they treat their women and citizens, I don't see how killing hundreds of thousands, or millions would be better.

You forget, the US Navy also closed the Strait and Trumb has touted a 20% fee, paid to the USA, for passage (which shows his megalomania, and his belief that he can just steal what isn't his):

No nukes for Iran

Fair enough. But they actually don't have any nukes, and according to the monitoring experts, they weren't persuing them, either.

If he was concerned about non nuclear armed countries getting nukes, why is he allowing the Saudi's to do exactly the same thing Iran was doing? What if the Saudi's change their mind? You know Osama Bin Laden who led the 911 attacks, was a Saudi.

They already have elections:

2024 Iranian presidential election

Not hanging women who show their hair

Iranians do not execute women for showing their hair.

Equal rights for women

That'd be nice.

What about in the USA, in states where they have banned abortion, and also don't give women maternity leave. What do you think that says?

Why not go even further and suggest that people or groups, especially governments, should not be killing ANY human beings, of any persuasion, for any reason!

Intentioned killing is murder and should be prosecuted as such in EVERY case. No loopholes or caveats.

Unintentional killing is manslaughter, and should always have strict legal consequences.

No one just gets off with excuses such as self-defense or suggesting it is 'justice', or was an accident with a deadly weapon.

America has already lost some things. People have died, armaments have depleted, and the economy has worsened as a result of the conflict. None of it is just going to 'come back'. You'll have to earn that stuff that's gone all over again.

How about the USA removing the current POTUS and his administrative operators by vote and Constitutional process, and then just pulling out the ships, planes, troops and armaments, and coming home?

The Straight can't be more closed than it now is, and perhaps Iran might return to peace talks if everyone just stops the fighting bit?

Let the IDF defend Israel. Let Iran defend Iran. Let the USA defend the USA. Don't go to another country to fight them.

In negotiation and trade there are such things as win-win solutions. Someone gives to receive. It happens all the time, it's not some weird liberal idea. It's the backbone of capitalism. Be savvy and actually solve issues. The desire to 'win' where there's no game to be had, is stupid.
