US-Iran War Mudpit Thread

And calling a country's destruction a "job well done" is not a strategy.

I have no idea if the Iranians will surrender Andy. It doesn't matter in the ME. It's a forever war. Just another chapter in pounding them as that's all you can do. Pound them, set them back, if there's a revolution or political change, fair doos. Yet you'll still end up pounding them every now and then. It's just how it works out there. Don't concern yourself with western concepts like 'end of hostilities' etc. It does not work like that. It will carry on. This has been going on since recorded history. Just accept this and carry on in the Third World War forum as that's how it works.

Have to say thats rather a deterministic view of history.

You're assuming the future must repeat the past.

But the world spins, Orby, and places of power and people change.

Saying "it's always been this way" is not an argument.

It's just accepting a pattern without proving it must continue.

History is not a force of nature.

It's shaped and created by people.

And wars happen because they make choices based on circumstances and their own self-interest, never mind personal gain.

Not because a region is somehow destined to fight forever.

The Middle East is not the plains of Asgard ffs.  Lol

You are judging the whole affair from a western mind set, in a location where usually, especially where you are, you don't get hot and bothered. The Middle East is steaming hot and the locals by and large lose it in the heat, with no alcohol around to calm and pacify them like over here. They are also a different people, very different indeed. They just love warfare. You won't stop it now Andy, been going on for thousands of years. Let us see how things develop in the next few decades, I sure know where my money is  Lol Tongue Thumbup

Bread and circus' or political control and power or bad decisions?

Are these forever wars, in actuality, a bloody coliseum to give our species the blood sports some seem to require or are addicted to?

"Blood sports are seen as primitive. The Roman arena and public executions are attributed to coarser people of history. Yet, our contemporary news and entertainment are literally, and figuratively, drenched in blood. Why?"

"The impact of violent representations is analogous to a stimulant drug."

You are right, Orby, I sit here safe and not hot and bothered and I don't watch the actual destruction and the deaths of people in a warzone to really affect me. I can't watch it, it is too horrific.

I'm just trying to figure out what are the end games and wonder when and where the people will rise up in violence to stop this insanity.

Hands you a big mirror buddy.

And blaming wars on the weather and lack of alcohol is certainly a creative theory... Lol

History, on the other hand, is a bit more complicated than "too hot, too angry."

If heat caused endless violence, Spain, Australia, and half the planet would be permanent battlefields.

Wars come from politics, power, and resources, Orby.

Not because someone forgot their sunscreen.  Lol

Tell me if you figure it out. The Iranian leaders have only 10% support, or so from people who financially do well out of the Mullah Revolution. Is that real? Or propaganda. No idea. But an end game? I think they just like fighting. Can't see an end to pounding Iran until someone takes over from the Mullahs. Too far down the forever war now. Don't get me wrong, if the Iranians go Arab and start installing pro Israel regimes maybe there will be peace of sorts. As long as Iran stays an enemy, then the pounding will be expected to continue. The kibbutz Nova 7/10 attack is a bit of a sore point right now. I don't think that Israel will stop until Iran is reduced to a stone age state, one way or another. They are paying, the Iranian's, right now, for their involvement. People really are peeved in the Israeli world and want an end to Iran as a threat. I don't see it ending any time soon.

It's all there what I wrote to Quint Andy. After 7/10 Iran's fate was sealed. It's as simple as that.

If we look at history Orby, we see staunch enemies have become allies.

It may turn out that it is all about the right price being paid and all will be forgotten, temporarily, but never forgiven.

The Iranian government has prepared, over these last 20 years. for just this type of attack and the U.S. government has seemed to fail at every move, so far, IMO.

As for the Iranian people, well they are not in any position to rise up at this point in time and since their ability to communicate has been cut-off, we really don't know what they feel or think...well, I doubt anything has changed much since the US started bombing them and I do mean bombing citizens, not so much military targets.

"The 2026 Iran war, initiated by the United States and Israel in February 2026, has involved significant civilian casualties due to U.S. military strikes.  Reports from HRANA and Amnesty International document that U.S. forces have targeted civilian infrastructure and populated areas, including a February 28 airstrike on the Shajareh Tayyebeh Elementary School in Minab that killed at least 156–168 civilians, mostly children." (AI snippet)

Do the Iranian people now have two enemies to hate?

Israel's holy war and mission is nothing more than annexation of other countries in the region under the guise of being threatened. Russia is using the same rhetoric to instill fear and control within their people and as a justification for war.

The forever wars epicenter seems to be with the Zionist government's genocidal and power hungry maniacs there, this is the snake's head which needs to be cut off, IMO, because security measures can be put into place, as we see with Russia. I don't see NATO boots on the ground in Russia but Russia continues to push rhetoric that they are on the way.

I wouldn't worry about it. Iran is getting pounded and its military is pretty much wiped out. Lots of religius hot headed nutters running around with small arms and jumping on burning flags etc but hey ho. No threat to the West. They'll start killing each other after a bit, it's just the way it is out there. Divide and rule.

Russia can do what it like if that's what it likes. Let the strongest side win. Non of our business in an inter Slav mafia war.

Iran signed its own death warrant with 7/10. Expect more of the. same. The Zionist plot? Lol I don't know, but if the IDF has the best weapons and they can deal with the threats then fair doos. You have to let these things sort themselves out. As long as they are killing each other and nukes are taken out of the equation, we can get on with beating the Argies today. That really counts, far more serious than endless ME wars.

Bullsh#t, yeah, it's rather apparent.

Can we have some facts and history?

As opposed to your alternative sorts and hate-filled imperialistic racist rants...

Because you seem to know as much about the Middle East as you do middle England.
