A certain demographic refuses to acknowledge they've been conned
Either because they're too gullible to realize it
Or because they're too embarrassed to admit it

The splinter is happening between a segment of MAGA that's breaking away from Trump to form a genuine, grassroots American First movement and the remaining Trump loyalist who are going to get left behind
