I think going forward we see a few things.

Vance will get a lot of the credit for peace talks to insulate him from the whole thing so he has a chance in 2028.

Once the dust settles, we see some blaming and firings of people. 

But ultimately, this will be sold as a giant victory. We opened back up the strait that was already opened, and now Iran gets a fee for every passing vessel. 

And since we have to repeat it over and over, Iran didn't win. They're bombed to hell. So we all just had an "excursion" while walking away with very little to show for it. I think the big win is we knocked out their world class navy and air force that the whole world was really concerned about. 

We pissed off a whole bunch of our allies. We defended the "allies" in the Middle East who are mostly dictatorships, and never fought along side our soldiers on the ground to my knowledge. But it made some American's feel that raging patriotism again, many of them likely older, and the younger generation will be stuck with the tab. Such is life though, can't go too many years without a war in the Middle East. I'm sure this was totally the last one.

Bibi has been saying that for almost as long as I've been alive.

They're a horrible government, and I hope the Iranian people can figure out that situation. But I maintained I don't think we would be helping that. In fact, I said there was a chance we end up killing their momentum by unifying them under the flag against an external enemy. 

But I will give credit to Trump where credit is due. No matter who initiated this, or what bad info he got from advisors... He decided to end this before it got worse (I hope). I'm sure that's really hard for people who are big on pride. I don't think there's any secret I think the whole thing was pointless, but I'll take this over the alternative for sure.
