I've said at every point in this thread that I don't think there is a way for Iran to "win". Nor would I want them to, they're an oppressive dicatatorship.

But I said we could both lose. You said it yourself, blowing up bridges or infrastructure is terrorism. 

Part of losing is lowering yourself to that of an immoral enemy. And you could say something like "you have to do what it takes to win", but that's not winning. Not from a moral standpoint, and it would likely set off a lot of conflict down the road that will make the whole world feel pain. And we will be complicit in that because we got stuck in an escalation trap, and told the whole world what we were going to do, and do it in full display.

Worst of all, I don't think it will change much at home either. People have seen needless wars in every generation. We lose our young, blow our treasure, and it's all for a group of people we've never met and who look down on us. Never learning our lesson. Just a few years and people will cheer, they don't even have to try and sell it anymore. Almost laughing at us as they do it.

Trump could nuke Tehran, and all it would serve to achieve is to make them even more determined and think they have god on their side.
