Gay people are persecuted in Iran, as they are in all theocratic regimes including local ones within the United States. And yes, there were some official executions in 2011. But no-one was ever thrown off any roofs in Iran for being gay. You're getting IS (who are Sunnis) mixed up with Iranians (who are Shias).

Correct. Trump’s ten-day pause is because some generals finally got through to him and Hegseth and explained that the 900 infantry aboard each of those two assault ships rushing into position in the Gulf are not enough to take the island, and begged for time to move additional forces up.
