Yes — there has been a steady takeover of the media by the Religious Right since the PNAC (Project for the New American Century 1997) which became the Heritage Center and Clear Channel Radio 1928 — rebranded as iHeart Media 2014. 

In 2012 — Michael Powell became chairman of the FCC.
