There's been a fair few missile attacks aimed at American bases situated around middle east. with the US Fifth Fleet base in Bahrain reportedly hit.

In retaliation for the US and Israel attack on Tehran and other cities, Iran has targeted four American military bases in the Gulf: the Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, Al Dhafra Air Base in the UAE, and the US Fifth Fleet base in Bahrain. 

Four US bases in West Asia were targeted as a response to US and Israeli strikes on Iranian cities, Iran’s state-affiliated media reported, citing the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, Al Dhafra Air Base in the UAE, and the US Fifth Fleet base in Bahrain were targeted by Iranian missile attacks, Fars news agency said.

Well, I hope for the sake of the world and our country that this is quick, whatever the objectives are.

TV news saying it'll be weeks ... not days or hours.

It should go well unless the Democrats screw around on Monday.

Technically with the War Powers Act, Trump can go in and do this operation for 90 days before notifying Congress.   He notified the 'gang of 8' ahead of time.   But you just know that the Democrats can't stand anything he does so they'll try to screw this up.    If left alone, the operation should meet it's goals, and probably even more if the people of Iran rise up and change regime.

Well, I hope for the sake of the world and our country that this is quick, whatever the objectives are.

I don't see it.

Unless America and Israel managed to cut off the head in the first few strikes, I see this being on going as surgical air strikes can only do so much. It could be a drawn out process of finding and picking off targets when used.

Then we have possible asymmetrical attacks form Iranian proxies on softer targets in the area.

Not sure they would have the votes.

I don't trust any of them right now, or think anyone in Washington is looking out for my, or most American's best interest.

Germany, France and Britain condemned Iranian attacks on countries in the region on Saturday, saying Iran must refrain from indiscriminate military strikes and resume negotiations.
"We condemn Iranian attacks on countries in the region in the strongest terms," French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said in a joint statement.
"We call for a resumption of negotiations and urge the Iranian leadership to seek a negotiated solution. Ultimately, the Iranian people must be allowed to determine their future," they said.

Sometimes you have to have war in order to stop a worse war.
Iran is dead set on getting nukes.
Their missile system can hit Europe.
And they already said they intend to destroy Israel and America.
And anyone in league with them ... which means Europe.
Irans own behavior and rhetoric caused this.
Hitting them is self defense.
But the Democrats don't like self defense.
So they'll whine about it.
