US-Iran War Mudpit Thread

It'll be quick, decisive, and violent.

Like wars should be.

I should know, I fought in Obama's war, Bush's war.  Clinton's war.

Now ya'll can mock my stance, make fun of my service or opinions, but it's a far greater reflection on your inability to see the world in reality than through your little red colored glasses.

 Biggrin

I dont think that's a shift Trump is willing to make. Just threaten to make.

He has been painfully transparent about his unwillingness to pull the trigger on a ground assault, which Iran uses to claim how great they are for defeating a restrained effort.

And I think this will drag on forever  because its all Iran saber rattling vs. American aversion towards the "Quick, violent, and decisive" solution you're expecting.

Lol

You sure do spread the hate and encourage any opposition to the current administration.  You even implied that assassination would be an option.

I've never seen you pro-Constitution, Pro-American.

You've only been pro-communism/socialism.
You must develop the ability to be disliked in order to free yourself from the prison of other people's opinions.

I think you're wrong because we won't give them the opportunity.

Evil Commie Leftists.

Try to keep up.

I mean, since you can mock Trump all day, and you obviously know more than him and are a bigger billionaire than he is.

It's cool, right?
WTF does "bEiNg a biGgeR biLLiOnArE" have to do with anything? it certainly doesn't dictate the quality of a person, if fact the more money, the less likely they are quality?

And feel free to call any of my counties political figures whatever you like..I'll probably agree Wink2 they are all pretty much self serving trash.

I did not suggest that assassination was an option.

I edited the post and posted several several times that I did not in any way support murder, assassination or killing for any reason. I did this due to your intentional misinterpretation.

Quote:I've never seen you pro-Constitution, Pro-American.

Come on, the US Constitution has several times been stomped all over by your current administration! Things like birthright citizenship and the fact the Congress, not the President, is supposed to set tariffs.

There are many parts of the US Constitution which are archaic, are poorly worded and are too imprecise to be seriously held as the supreme law of the land.

And it's not just the current POTUS that is guilty of disrespecting the US Constitution, either. The problem is endemic in the system.

The office of the President and even the US Constitution itself were created by Congressional assent. The intent was to have balance between governmental branches, but the current POTUS again and again asserts himself over tasks that are not his purview under the US Constitution.

That idiot is anti-American, as he is anti-constitutional.

I am strongly capitalist.

I have voted, and worked for, center-right political parties.

I strongly believe that communism as a system has failed and that it is unworkable due to normal innate human greed, which socially aware capitalism is good at balancing out.

I consider myself a liberal centrist and individualist, not wanting to follow any particular ideology, but rather, I am more concerned with the lawful and compassionate administration of people and resources with a goal of the best outcome for the most people, without unfair persecution of harmless individuals.

I believe that numerous small local governments are better for their constituents than monolithic national governments.

I believe that a functional democratic capitalist local government itself needs not to be acquisitive, but that all of its budgetary resources need to be consumed in services to its constituents.

Thank you for clarifying the acronym. I went through all sorts of web search results but none of them seemed to fit.

But I'm a centrist, capitalist and I hope I have never done anything evil.

Explaining your political position is an exercise in futility with some members here, they are unable to have a reasonable discussion in questioning and/or dissecting their government officials' motives in waging wars where they are fighting other world government wars, in this case that being fighting Israel's wars for them, which don't serve the majority of American people. They don't want to hear any facts or realities that go against the political rhetoric from state media that they want to believe in, hence the acronym insults and personal attacks against other members here.

All military analysts agree that the current American administration are well paid by the Zionist government for their service and they are quite happy to keep the status quo and continue to be paid. They are all self-serving and nothing will change until the American people start to feel real pain. That's why no matter who is the President there, the policies seem to never change and warmongering is their 'go-to'.

I have heard many reasons ranging from helping the people of Iran to stopping them from dropping a nuke on the US or a neighbor and our ally to just simply assassinating the entire leadership and family.
And when this specific objective is obfuscated obviously the people will ask more questions than normal. But god forbid you do so due to fear of being called any number of mean nasty things.
So now we have a situation that by all appearances we are just supposed to accept what the government tells us. The same government that uses AI generated images regularly and lies repeatedly about the most mundane things.
Asking questions is what we are meant to do and what is expected of us by our ancestors. To question me or anyone else asking question is suspect at best.

Why isn't anyone following the money to those American politicians allegedly being sent from the Zionist government and rich donors, that they seem to be serving now?

The American taxpayer should start feeling the pain very soon, when more programs and services are taken away from them.

"Rising gas and food costs are driving U.S. inflation to a three-year high of 3.8% as of May 2026, significantly outpacing wage growth and eroding consumer purchasing power.  The primary catalyst is the war in Iran, which began in late February 2026, causing gasoline prices to jump nearly 50% and diesel costs to rise 44%.  This surge has triggered widespread financial strain, with 95% of Americans reporting an affordability crisis and half struggling to afford basic essentials."

"Americans Oppose Congress Providing $200 Billion for the War – Cuts to Health Care Make It a Non-Starter On its own, support for Congress providing $200 billion in additional funding for the war is underwater by a net -24 points (34% support – 58% oppose). When adding the context that $200 billion for a foreign war could come with cuts to health care spendingat home, net support drops to -50 (20% support – 70% oppose)."

It appears that Americans are no longer psychologically 'wired' for war.
