Iran has agreed to not build a nuclear weapon and to reopen the Strait of Hormuz if the US releases $25 billion in frozen assets as part of a President Trump-brokered peace deal, according to details released by Tehran on Sunday.
Washington and Tehran were expected to electronically sign a memorandum of understanding Sunday after a virtual meeting designed to set the table for negotiations over a longer-term deal on Iran’s nuclear program, Axios reported.

Reopening the Strait of Hormuz: Iran must immediately lift its military blockade of the Strait, making arrangements to clear any mines or technical obstacles to safely restore commercial shipping traffic. 

Permanent Regional Ceasefire: Iran commits to an immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts. This explicitly includes halting hostilities along the Israel-Hezbollah front in Lebanon. 

Proxy and Threat Restrictions: Iran and the U.S. agree to respect each other's sovereignty and refrain from the threat or use of force. According to U.S. officials, Iran must also cease funding regional proxies.

Nuclear Weapon Ban: Iran must formally reiterate an indefinite commitment to never produce or acquire nuclear weapons.

Freeze on Enrichment: For the upcoming 60-day negotiation period, Iran must maintain a strict nuclear "status quo". This requires halting further uranium enrichment and suspending any expansion of its nuclear facilities.

Material Disposal: The framework defers the final fate of Iran's highly enriched uranium stockpile to technical talks. However, U.S. officials maintain that any comprehensive final deal will require Iran's enriched material to be destroyed or removed, while Iranian officials push to dilute the material inside the country. 

Lifting of the Naval Blockade: In direct exchange for opening the Strait, the U.S. will immediately dismantle its naval blockade of Iranian ports in the Persian Gulf.

Release of Frozen Assets: The draft outlines the return of $25 billion in frozen Iranian assets. White House officials emphasize that this capital will only be disbursed as Iran proves compliance with its performance-based milestones.

Oil Sanctions Waivers: The U.S. Treasury Department will issue waivers allowing Iran to resume selling crude oil and petrochemical products globally to generate immediate revenue. No new sanctions can be added during the 60-day window.

Reconstruction Funding: The draft framework includes a provision for the U.S. and regional partners to establish a long-term reconstruction and economic development program for Iran, with funding proposed at up to $300 billion.

So, it's not a regime change as much as a forced succession.  We kind of just "topped" them like a plant, left a little new growth, and hopefully are keeping some pesticide and shears handy...

What about "Iran no longer getting to inflict an authoritative theocratic regime and oppress its citizens?" Wasn't that one if the main original reasons? The liberation of Iranians.  There were more world-liberation motives initially.  More belief Iran would be reborn differently..

Did Trump back off the social liberation part when agreeing to respect their sovereignty?

Sure we didn't just hijack the world to tread water for 100+ days and reset Iran with a new Ayatollah commanding a decimated military infrastructure?
