I remember when people turned on Bush and The War on Terror because Redhawk - Halliburton - Zeitgeist - False Flag. And It was perfectly okay to call out the bullshit of the war 20 years ago.  No one was anti-American for it. 

Hell, it was patriotic because "Evil Bush paid terrorists to kill first responders in a false flag!"

Lest we soon forget, or what?

In all cases, no one was "unpatriotic" for turning. And that was after WE were attacked by festering jihadist extremism and hatred. 

I also think it doesnt help antisemitism any to make them an authoritarian sacred cow. Like beyond just the antisemitism tropes getting called out.  Do as the people we are helping do at least. Allow dissent. Allow peaceful opposition to war in the widest of freedoms.

Zionism is also THE RIGHT TO ISRAEL SELF-DETERMINATION, beyond just the religious chosen part, or conservatives in power.

Israel is also not instilling a culture where criticism is deemed an enemy.

Thanks for the nuanced post. Daily I see Israelis decrying their government’s actions to the point t of calling their leaders criminals as we often do here in the states. We just don’t hear about it. Ya have to go looking for other viewpoints, or you risk dwelling in your own xenophobic rhetoric like lukewarm fetid stew.

To your post - it’s so much easier to say one is anti-this/pro-that than deal with the intricacies of human existence and certainly thought. 

Not everything is black and white. Not everything is a nail to be hammered.

Civil discourse and debate is lacking in modern politics, certainly here in the states.

This site is a microcosm of this these days.

Try being me.  

I get irritated at antisemitism tropes while simultaneously thinking our christian zionists are going overboard applying it all WAY differently than Israel does itself.

Like israel is forever kindred of the evangelical right for some reason.

I think its we presently have symbiotic governments and symbiotic opposition.

It just scares the shit out of me how divergent the approaches are to everything after that. 

Israel is about to host Gaychella. And pride month is still embraced by culture there. Government are still flying rainbow stars of David and everything.   Women are still being given military promotions and allowed into special forces units.  Palestine "war crime" sympathizers are not called Traitors, even jewish ones. Still mostly sane. 

Thats one thing that bugs me. The faux populism support. Im glad they have it but I sont like how they have it.  Its not the bipartisan status quo it used to be. 

I want to know if people even realize the underlying cultural progressivism in Israel they are actually supporting?  

Right now, The Knesset (Israeli Parliment) is doing Pride displays for June and to celebrate openly LGBT IDF soldiers. 

And we have a MMA ring on the white house lawn for June.

No Pride displays at our capital anymore.  

But we LOVE the country who still does that, and they're not woke degenerates for it either.
