I believe many people have very legitimate reasons to be concerned across multiple areas in all political spectrum's. 
And if you or I believe those reasons to be dumb or redundant then that is just our opinion. But to call them things such as anti-American does nothing to come to a compromise. In fact more often than not you will get the exact opposite.
With that knowledge then why do it?

With the recent escalation in Iran, now they are arguing over wether Hormuz is open.

Iran has claimed for months that they have shut down the strait. Then yesterday Iran announces this:

US Central Command denies Iran’s claim that it again shuttered the Strait of Hormuz following the latest American strikes, saying that “commercial ships are continuing to transit in and out of” the key waterway.
