Trump says he bombed Iran

"Yet so it is, we see the illiterate bulk of mankind that walk the high-road of plain common sense, and are governed by the dictates of nature, for the most part easy and undisturbed. To them nothing that is familiar appears unaccountable or difficult to comprehend."

"... if you can keep it".

The USA is eating itself up from the inside right now.

The only way Trump knows to maintain power is by inflaming the divisions.

He's failing there, too:

Iran is actively bombing Israel civilian centers.

That should upset you or any normal person.
You must develop the ability to be disliked in order to free yourself from the prison of other people's opinions.

What government has killed the most civilians in the past 5 years?
(06-07-2026, 06:12 PM)DBCowboy Wrote: No, I disagree.

It's orchestrated to be against Israel.  Look at the attacks against Jews since last year.

I dont think its orchestrated.
I think it spreads itself bottom up and gets taken advantage of by special interests.

And I need an anecdote to explain.

In college, I was in an activist Jewish group with the person I was dating.  And it was already starting in 2005. It hadn't reached greater consciousness yet, but it was as divided as today.

In 2005/2006 it was about Israel's abrupt dismantling of Gaza Settlements, whether or not they should have done it, criticizing Sharon for trying to lower friction that way, and then Palestine responding by electing an Iranian proxy, Israel's sworn enemy to a parliment majority. Hamas has done its work since then.

And all the betrayed feeling evicted settlers could only watch. And its all gone downhill with Israel thrown under a heavier and heavier bus as time goes on.

The more orthodox reversed it, not in Gaza, but increased West Bank settlements partly in response to Sharon's abrupt withdrawl/betrayal - that ultimately did nothing to quell militancy in Palestine and actually emboldened it.

The security justification was proven with the election of Hamas following a withdrawl meant to cool tensions.

The divide even on 2006 college campus was over this interpretation:

because the territory was not the recognized sovereign land of another state prior to 1967, it does not fit the traditional definition of an occupation.

Since then the other message has spread from the same college campuses, where the Israel group gets smaller as Muslim influence uses Palestine to convince even the Secular Jews they oppressed the bloodthirsty Iran proxy and needed to own up to mistreatment.

Almost a Stockholm syndrome.

It went really wonky between then and now.

And to find the cause you only need look into how many Islamic studies programs, founded under the equality umbrella, were paid for by Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, and even Iran.

Those had a greater lobbying effect then The Jews could keep up with in swaying the educated youth to reevaluate who the victim is.

And let this be the only time i have ever agreed with one of the  MAGA conspiracies.

"Arab interests funded education programs on US campuses that systematically rewrote the Israel narrative to favor muslims" can be the one.

Because In college the groups were equal...

Now its 50 Jewish sympathizers surround by 500 suburban middleclass kids like the protagonist of the song Holiday in Cambodia.   Or even like "Chickens for KFC."

Only "It's a Holiday in Gaza, where women dress in black and adhere to Sharia Law modesty patrols..."

So there is my final thread comment on this.

Israel and the USA have actively bombed numerous countries civilian centers.

That upsets me too.

I'm also fairly sure that most of Israel is untouched, however:

Aerial photos show scale of Israeli destruction in Gaza

Nothing justifies any of what all these combatants are doing. Nothing!

Yet you piss and moan and compare and justify the bombings.
You must develop the ability to be disliked in order to free yourself from the prison of other people's opinions.
