Medical and industrial grade actinides could be used for a dirty bomb. Many countries, including Iran, have has access to the amounts and concentrations that could make a dirty bomb for at least 60 years. Yet a dirty bomb has never been detonated in anger - anywhere.

Justifying a war on the basis of a possible, and never evidenced at any time and in any country, dirty bomb, is a very very thin premise.

I had a look back through US history, and a lot of it happened while the Democrats were in office, yet things didn't crash and burn then.

Also, while there have been issues on both sides, and there are great similarities between the parties, Republican administrations seem have had more problems, scandals, and to have performed worse.
