US crude was always one of the best, quality wise, however, if the USA has been going after Venezuelan crude (and now Iranian), I think that the US reserves must be getting lower than they would like to admit.

And the raising of the pricing for oil and its derivatives worldwide will be a strong impetus for alternative fuels, which are looking more and more economical every day.

The USA may be painting itself into a corner where the world moves on, technologically, out of necessity, and the USA is left holding stocks of dirty polluting oil that no-one wants to buy.

Looking at this map, why aren't all ships following the coastline of The UAE and The Musandam Governorate where Iran can't see them?

Because of the blockade Iran has setup on the islands just to the left of where the ships where captured. Looks like they tried to run the blockade or all there paperwork was not in order so Iran stopped them. Good to see they are capturing them instead of blowing it all up.

There’s the rub. The objective is always fluid to meet a political agenda.

He told the American people this was about liberating Iran. He says it was about their nuclear program we obliterated in the summer, and now they suddenly have a massive amount of enriched uranium after he said that is fake news.

Just like with Venezuela when it was about drugs and liberating the people until it wasn’t.

Most American didn’t want a war with Iran, and now we’re stuck in some weird indefinite limbo with no clear sight in what we intend to accomplish. Is it just to open up the strait that was open before the war? Who knows.

Only thing we do know is all previous statements don’t matter, the goal posts can move at any time. We the people don’t deserve to know the plan, we just have to trust the same government who has bungled almost every war post WWII, and be thankful for it.
