I think this sentiment holds pretty generally beyond the borders of the USA and Western Eruope. And now even Western Europeans (including, of course, the UK) are gravely disappointed in America for giving us Trump.

My own country has friendly relations and trade partnerships with both Iran and the USA, so I will not express any sentiment about this. But to any unbiased observer, it is pretty clear who is the aggressor here and who the victim; also, who has right on their side and who merely has might. The crimes of the Iranian regime are a shameful fig-leaf of an excuse for what the US and Israel are doing to the Iranian people. It cannot conceal their thirst for blood. And it’s not just their leaders either – just look at the mindless hostility and bloodlust on display in this thread.

You know, I see a lot of people comparing this conflict to Vietnam etc but those conflicts are totally different considering America was only there to back up the French and it was againat the Vietnamese people themselves. This conflict is simply with the revolutionary guard, there's a finite amount and their people are against them. Let the iranian people fight the power and stick it to the man. What doesnt make sense to me is why they arent having a civil war currently. Its also peculiar that Iranian protestors are being harmed and people are both against that happening but also against anyone stopping it it doesnt really make any sense. I guess some people hate just to hate maybe idk but seems like a big ol waste of energy and sounds awfully stressful on one's self. I went and sat in the ocean today, you guys should try it. I dont recommend any Iranian beaches though lol

I think the great capitalist fuckfest and Trump's tendency to make deals and suck up to crowned princes has lost Iran moderate Arab sympathy.

The discounted dreamliners for Etihad did something... And the Saudis have a staggering 600 billion dollar investment package of their own, mostly in our Military Industrial Complex Superstore.

And now nobody wants us to "finish the job" more than the MBS and MBZ. Against all odds, Trump's unhinged tactless organic madness has created a world where The IDF is Coordinating intelligence with Gulf States.

Lebanon is finished with Hezbollah. Letting The IDF roll through without a state sanctioned resistance.

There is a twisted path to peace now that US assets in The Gulf States caused Iran to strike their pretty airports in anger.

And it really hinges on how easily Trump can appease the Gulf States with 600 billion dollar investment strings to pull before "what have you done for me lately" runs dry. 

Populist capitalist loyalty follows profit.

So besides some silent allies trying to not look too involved (China or Russia), their control over the strait is all they have as leverage left. They lose that, all the arms China gives them wont matter... unless they are to disrupt the strait endlessly.  

This was all ad libbed from the moment the initial plan was to "hope the Iranians rise up and take back their country."

But now that it's done, they have a real opportunity to cripple Iranian Influence and reset back to two weeks before 10/7, when Saudi Arabia almost took over for Jordan and recognized Israel...  before Iran derailed the closest peace ever came through the rapey methed up "freedom fighters."

Nope. But he did overstay his welcome in Moscow, and the Russians craftily let him.

What point are you trying to make, anyway? That Napoleon is a cuck because his Grande Armée was vanquished by the Russian winter on the way home? Try telling that to any staff-level officer in any military, anywhere in the world, and see what response you get.
