According to Trump, Iran and the US have negotiated a "permanent end to the war"
If the deal holds based on Iran's proposal
then Iran will have leverage over the rest of the world through its control of the Strait
This will give them negotiating power... a 'seat at the table'
and they'll become 48 billion dollars richer
If they maintain control over choosing the currency
That will probably mean the end of the petrodollar
Maybe that was Trump’s plan all along

Probably because the terrorists that occupy Lebanon will keep attacking them.
isreal will keep pounding them to rubble.
Then we should just leave them out of the ceasefire. We tell Iran the deal is between us and them, Israel can figure out their own path without or help going forward. I’m all for sovereignty and a nations right to self determination. But they led us into war twice by jumping the gun while we were in nuclear negotiations.
We followed them in and now it looks like there is less leverage than the deal we ripped up. Thankfully it looks like Trump is saying we’re done with war. I think it would be wise for them to find a way to live with that reality. I don’t think future US leaders are going to be as generous as he has been after everything that they pulled.

If he was looking for an off ramp, he could have called a cease fire weeks ago.
I believe the bombardment was still going on as of a few hours ago.
Only the Democrats do shit half-assed.
So you didn't hear Trump claiming victory, and complaining that there was nothing left to target within the first week of the bombing.
Trump spent the last month threatening a civilian bombing campaign.
Anyway, Iran and China finally got what they wanted. The last nail in the coffin for the petrodollar.

Trump took Iran's 10-point plan, imagine that...
Anyhoo, it's a way out the door, and a step away from moronic buffoons' claims of using nukes.
Hopefully, some kind of end is in sight...
And peace prevails.

"What we know about the two-week ceasefire between the US and Iran."
Quote:Iran and the US have agreed to a conditional two-week ceasefire, during which shipping traffic will be allowed through the Strait of Hormuz.
This comes more than a month after the US and Israel launched co-ordinated attacks on Iran, and hours after US President Donald Trump threatened "a whole civilisation will die tonight" if Iran did not reopen the Strait.
Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who has been mediating negotiations, said early on Wednesday that the ceasefire was effective immediately.
Here's what we know so far about the deal.
https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/ce84z6y3ke4o
Quote:The US and Iran agreed to a two-week ceasefire on Tuesday barely an hour before Donald Trump’s deadline to obliterate Iran was set to expire, with Tehran agreeing to temporarily reopen the strait of Hormuz.
Israel also agreed to the ceasefire, the White House said. As Trump announced he was suspending his plans to escalate attacks across Iran, the US president said he had received a 10-point proposal from Iran which was a “workable basis on which to negotiate”.
But what is in this plan from Iran, and will Trump accept it?

After all he loves those two...
