Hell would be a war crime, also if you think about it. 

I mean if we go by modern standards like the UN conventions on human rights or for that matter the Geneva Convention.

Then, eternal punishment, torture, or collective suffering, would clearly violate rules against cruel and unusual punishment.

Would it not? 

If you create hell on Earth for 90 million Iranians, out of spite because they refuse to capitulate, by destroying there power grids and depriving them of food and water, history will record you the same way it did Hitler's Germany.

Thats what happens when you systematically choose to annihilate millions of people.

Might be best to choose another path forward...

Thats just speculation.

We could build a crude dirty bomb with Americium from the likes of enouth smoke detectors.

Must admit that it is gratifying to see a scenario I once posed, in a forgotten thread somebtime ago, come back "into vogue" so to speak.

And don't forget, while we're using the old "way back machine" that, as I suggested  when that smoke detector quip was first posited, that China makes a large percentage of the world's smoke detectors..

The same China that has a "deal" in place to receive Iranian oil with safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz.


If the US supports the Iranian "people" in their struggle to throw off the oppressive regime keeping them prisoners, 

How will depriving those same people of water and power, as summer approaches, in any way help them fight that same regime?

Rather than aiding and supporting them, Trump's Stated" plan will only serve to make their lives, those who survive, more difficult.

And they will remember, and resent, the US because of it.
