People can stay in the military past the cutoff joining age.

The rule only applies to people who are joining.

And a 42 year old might still have more experience than a 20 year old even if they sign up on the same day, if they can complete the training equally what's the problem? And who are you that anyone should listen to as the source of truth and reason.

Maybe a 42 year old might have more life experience giving them an edge in the military. That's not what I was responding about though. I noted that raising the age only changes the cap at which people can join, not when they have to stop serving.

I don't think I ever claimed to be the voice of truth and reason. You shouldn't just trust what I say at face value, I'm a random person on the internet. But the above is known and verifiable.

I think since the rule was put into place to now things have changed people live longer and are generally healthier.
