What is the context  of this image?? There were reports on Tasnim of the rescue being a failure and then we bombed the survivor to cover up failure, which was obvious tripe. That is modern gear, are those Iranian patches? A separate report also claimed the rescue success was a lie and that the scandal will break soon because they captured a pilot. I dismissed both as nonsense. Is this an AI image from an older incident  or something?

This age group 34-42 is actually the first to not be better off than their folks in both health and economic forecasts over their lifespans.

So there is that. Also I don’t know that 42 is fighting age when you see Western Europe flooded with guys from Africa ranging in their twenties.

People can stay in the military past the cutoff joining age.

The rule only applies to people who are joining.

Oh no I completely understand  the need for overwhelming force. I was dismissing their absurd claims of us bombing our own guy.

But my problem is with the image you posted, for which I asked for context because I tried to reverse image search it and failed. The guy to viewers right is wearing an  Iranian patch, and the left guy  is holding an AK. It is why I asked about some AI fake. Unless, were they playing the "I am escorting the captured prisoner to high command!" narrative to fool locals as we have seen performed in some works of fiction. That would actually be quite a lucky bit of performative theater eh?

Unless the world has changed drastically, no combat pilot is unfamiliar with P.O.W. training camp... it's a bitch...
it's a compliment of how to survive and orient, as well as how to endure and evade.

Used to happen in Spokane, and Florida long ago.  I'm sure all my recollections are obsolete.

But I think as of now, there might be a new thing or two to learn about being a P.O.W. and how it can differ depending on the theater...

I have no idea how anyone can wish this fate on someone, unless they genuinely don't care about what happens to them... I suppose it's a natural tendency towards an enemy...  but also naturally present is the danger that people "punish" each other without restraint.

POW's are often punching bags, and abused as a matter of practice.  We'd like to believe it is not so when "we" do it... but guess what...  being a POW is a truly despicable end... yes...
