Trump says he bombed Iran

All I can think is that people are price gouging.
Jacking the prices just because they can.

I imagine it will all be to do with energy futures, which are specifically designed to be traded months and even years in advance.

People take advantage of situations, and combine that with big businesses and corporations.

Im sure can see where instability is heading, never mind the knock-on effect.

Spurious is how i would put it, but nevertheless a fact of life.

Again, not good...

- We now have proof from Iran that there are ongoing peace talks even though they claimed not.
- We now have proof that the war isn't being coordinated well between Vance, Trump and the military.

US/Israel Bombs Iranian Official Brokering Peace Deal with JD Vance

I think the 2-3 weeks was just buying time for something else. Before both strikes we pushed back negotiation deadlines and struck before the last one.

I don’t think we’re positioning large ground forces for vacation. And I don’t see what leverage they’d offer if we said we’re leaving soon.

Why would we need 2-3 weeks more if we said we’ve decimated them and are almost done after a month, but need 2-3 more weeks? Why would we need 200b more dollars for a war that is almost done?

Sadly I think we’re in the beginning. I remember after Shock and Awe the Iraq war looked like it was almost done.

I have to suggest that if it involves putting boots on the ground to go after any sort of radiological material the Iranians may have secreted away, or remains buried, could be a very risky venture.

People will die, and in the 100s and 1000s.

And it will involve the likes of special forces, which are almost irreplaceable.

Look at what happened to the Russians when they tried to take Hostomel airport.

Iran's President's letter to the American public.

"Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian released an open letter to the American public on April 1, 2026, urging them to question the motives behind the ongoing U.S.-Israeli war against Iran.  In the message, Pezeshkian asserted that Iran harbors no enmity toward ordinary Americans and argued that the U.S. is acting as a "proxy for Israel" rather than in its own national interest.
The letter outlined several key points regarding the conflict:
  • Defense of Iran's History: Pezeshkian stated that Iran has never initiated a war in its modern history and has only acted in legitimate self-defense against aggression.
  • Critique of U.S. Policy: He challenged whether the war truly serves "America First" priorities, suggesting the conflict is driven by external influences and the need to justify military spending.
  • Call for Diplomacy: The President warned that continuing the path of confrontation is more costly and futile, calling for a shift toward dialogue and engagement instead.
  • Rejection of Ceasefire Claims: While President Trump claimed Iran had requested a ceasefire, the letter and Iranian officials denied this, maintaining that Iran only seeks a full halt to strikes and hostilities.
Pezeshkian's appeal comes as the conflict enters its fifth week, with the U.S. and Israel having launched joint strikes in late February that have decimated much of Iran's military capabilities.  The letter was published hours before President Donald Trump addressed the nation, aiming to draw a distinction between the U.S. government and its citizens while highlighting Iran's internal resilience despite sanctions. " (LLM)

So it is clear to me that the Iranian government do want to shift towards dialogue and engagement instead, so rumors of Pakistan becoming the mediator is more believable now.

We are negotiating with a nice, new regime. Negotiations are going great!

"Former Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharazi seriously wounded following strikes on his home. He was overseeing potential negotiations meeting with US Vice President JD Vance through Pakistan."

Were those strikes from Israel? Is Trump abandoning Israel now?

Comparing Trump to Jesus.

In any way, shape, or form, is beyond belief...

Absolutely shameful and terrifying, i have to say...

also, NATO funding is like 5b a year. I think we pay like 20% of that. We’ve spent more in Iran already than the “huge” NATO bill for many years.

The disparity is what countries pay for their own militaries. But most of the enemies post Cold War were shadow boxers we overreacted to and in many cases created.

They are shadow boxers because we keep them that way.
