As a Brit who lost their best childhood friend in Afghanistan defending the US  under NATO articles I and millions of others who lost loved ones defending US under NATO obligations have repeatedly said the ultimate sacrifices made should be evidence enough but Trump and his regime keep shittring on their graves then blaming allies for asking questions before sending more lemmings - it's not have or no support, it's common sense and decency in the case of unrpovoked and unevidenced attacks from US admin..

I know you don't mean it that way but to an international audience; the repeated false claims of NATO/allies being cowards or never there for the US is disrespectful beyond words and why no allied nation (including Israel) will give a single troop or risk a single life in Hesketh's mid-life crisis/trillion dollar insider trading war crime.

I don’t see how that makes them better than a group of countries who import far more, invest vastly more in our country, and have fought side by side with our soldiers.

Israel has taken more aid than any single country. And a lot of Europe payed us back money for WWII.

Also, we have no treaties with Israel.

It just is, for obvious strategic reasons that maybe you don’t understand.  It’s not solely about trade.

I do understand, and disagree. 

What’s the point of being energy independent if the Middle East has been our main area of focus all my life and before me? I don’t care about that region. It’s mostly dictatorships that we prop up, we don’t even buy their wares and they barely buy ours.

They’re not my allies, they haven’t done anything for me.

Trump says Iran wants a ceasefire.
Sometimes Trump lies.  Sometimes he tells the truth.
Iran says they never said they wanted one.
Iran always lies.
But at the same time, no one knows who is really in charge in Iran.
Trump could be getting ceasefire talk from one group running things there.
And yet another group running different things could be saying they never wanted it.
