Simply, you are betting against Trump.
While I'm betting Rubio, Bessent, Miller, and Wiles, etc., will help Trump navigate through where the political damage is mitigated somewhat, if not completely.
Regardless, I don't think midterms or 2028 matter that much to Trump.

And now we have General Bone Spurs stating that he is willing to walk away from the US-Israel war on Iran, with the Strait of Hormuz still closed.

Israel plays by the rules of brutality and lawlessness.
"Recent reports from UN experts, Amnesty International, and Human Rights Watch document systemic lawlessness in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including indiscriminate attacks on civilians, starvation as a weapon of war, and state-backed settler violence with near-total impunity. - UN and Human Rights Reports: A December 2024 UN statement highlighted crimes against humanity such as murder, torture, sexual violence, and forced displacement, alongside war crimes like attacks on hospitals, educational institutions, and humanitarian workers in Gaza. Experts noted that the International Criminal Court has issued warrants for Israel's Prime Minister and former Defence Minister, yet impunity persists due to international protection.
- Settler Violence and Government Complicity: Reports from 2024 and 2025 describe a "government of lawlessness" where far-right ministers like Itamar Ben Gvir and Israel Katz have allegedly enabled settlers to escalate attacks in the West Bank. This includes frozen administrative detention orders, weakened police forces, and the distribution of weapons to settlers, leading to incidents like the Duma village arson where no one was prosecuted.
- Systemic Discrimination and "Apartheid": Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International characterize Israel's policies as a system of apartheid, citing forcible transfer of Palestinians, categorical denial of building permits in Area C and the Negev, and the refusal to recognize 35 Bedouin communities. In the Negev, over 10,000 Bedouin homes were demolished between 2013 and 2019, while settlers face no consequences for similar or more severe acts of violence.
- Military and Judicial Failures: The IDF soldiers have been accused of arbitrary killings in Gaza, with reports from December 2024 alleging that soldiers in the Netzarim corridor engage in lawless conduct without accountability. Additionally, the Israeli military has been criticized for failing to investigate violations, with one jurist noting that international law is often defied to justify "policy on the edge," such as house demolitions and targeted assassinations." (LLM)
----
"On Monday, March 30, 2026, Israel's parliament, the Knesset, passed a controversial law making the death penalty by hanging the default punishment for Palestinians convicted of deadly terrorist attacks in the occupied West Bank. The legislation, championed by far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and supported by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, was approved by a vote of 62 to 48"

That is in addition to IDF soldiers/guards seemingly having complete impunity to sexually torture prisoners.

No member of this community is in the Trump cabinet or a member of congress.
They don't know the plans either as Trump flip flops from one idea to another, he even claimed attacking Iran was his idea then blamed Hegseth for it afterwards. He even claimed Iran was begging for a deal and now Trump is having a tantrum and threatening to just go home even if a deal isn't reached!

A lot of Gen Z gets it. Recruitment numbers suck to die for Israel. Millions at Tictoc fuzzy some boarders, not China's fight and still calling it as they see it.
I am going for regime change in Israel before Iran if this world is to have a fair go.

I'm guessing that to reach a quick and definitive end to the war, he's going to make a case for ground invasion
But you never know with Trump

I didnt say, suggest, or infer otherwise.
I trust no one... "hawks or doves."
Last time I checked, Israel had 1600 missiles or drone attacks in a little more than 30 days. I have no doubt they have a different perspective than me, so far, zero missiles or drones in my neighborhood.
That said, with the expulsion of Hezbollah, the hits on Iran in the aftermath of 10/7, Israel is likely ahead of thier most optimistic predictions.
No matter the immediate situation in Iran, Israel no doubt has assets in Iran. It's what the 5 Eyes would do.

Im apt to ponder he will simply obliterate their power plants, desalination facilities, oil wells, and infrastructure on Krang island.
Then claim victory whilst walking away...
And those first two will be war crimes, no matter how he attempts to justify them.
