No. It is part of the conflict resolution process in seeing the conflict from both sides. If I was living in Iran, the idea of Israel's setter program moving in don't look good.

Sure Iran has problems, all nations do. Does appear to be some gradual improvements going on when things where more civil. Now it comes down to violence to sort this war out one way or another. Time will tell.

There is some strategic reasons to keep the straight closed a little while longer, the impact it is having on all of our enemies is a greater value then me saving money on gas. Also I think that the Ukraine just hit a major Russian oil supply depot in the Baltic's which should offset what ever was gained by lifted oil embargoes against Russia. I do hope they get everything wrapped up before the November elections along with a nice stimulus check, but we'll see what happens.

The only strategic reason would be the US oil market will do well the longer the strait stays closed. That doesn't mean America as a whole, just one industry. 

I see you say that it hurts our enemies. Which one's are those? I could see Iran for sure... But who else? I know a lot of people have said that this is some master play against China. They're not a major oil producer, but they have over 1 billion barrels in reserve. That's enough for them to run for 2 months assuming they're not getting any oil externally. They can still buy expensive oil and supplement for much longer.

Will they still have to pay the price eventually? Absolutely, they would have to refill the reserves which is easier said than done even if the prices come back down, which could take a while. But there are many other nations that would suffer much harder in that span of time, some of whom are our allies. So while it would be an inconvenience to China, it would could be devastating to others. 

This isn't just oil either, fertilizer is a massive concern, during planting season. You can over produce on oil to compensate, but try that with food which is seasonal. Luckily it appears a majority of US farmers already bought their stock before planting already, not so much for a lot of the world. 

And then there is helium production which effects health care and chip manufacturing. 

So while there would be harm to our enemies, it is harm much of the world and in some ways we would have to endure. I don't think it would be a net win.
