Then the tired, dirty, and huddled masses are easier to control and manipulate.

Like IP alluded to in thier post, the Saudis are positioned to be huge players here. Lol and we always argue too.

But there is plenty of supporting evidence

Seeing MbS speak so directly about Iran's spending of the sanction relief billions, on missiles and drones to shoot at KSA.

Did Iran give Trump an imaginary prize?

But he can't tell us about it...

Do you know who else makes up cr@p like that?

Toddlers.

Iran might currently have 250k troops across the Middle East region, with Iraq and Jordan main areas. Sounds like the Iraq government is trying to stay neutral as US/Israel and Iran sort their thing out. It is going to be a very divided issues for everyone involved.

The Valero refinery explosion yesterday is one present that comes to mind when Trump talked about it. Sent a message that America is not immune to war.

The fire was not caused by terrorism. It was caused by an release of fluids in a hydrotreater. My oldest Son works at a refinery in West Texas and says this kind of thing, while rare, is not unheard of.

If they even thought this was caused by terrorists, they would use it as a way to justify continuing to escalate against Iran. A lot of people don't like this war, but an attack against American infrastructure would change minds.

Or with the way fuel prices are going they would keep it quite to avoid more supply stress with panic buying.  General state policy has been to censor the true state of damage from the war.

Things will continue to escalate in its own time. In the Vietnam war it took looking a few waves of troops to get the draft over the line. With the way things are going, this conflict is not set to end anytime soon.
At first I was thinking that China could intervene to mediate an end to this war because IMO China is all about their own economic hegemony and I thought that they need energy to flow to them, so they would have to intervene.  Then I watched the video below and now I'm thinking this war will not only benefit Russia greatly (stepping in to sell their oil where opportunities now exist), but China also looks to benefit by taking down the US petrodollar. Is this really the beginning of the end of the US petrodollar?

How the chess game/war strategies are being played:

China already told the Saudis that everything they will buy from them - soon - will be required to be done in Chinese yuan. What can the USA do for the Gulf countries when it has been shown that they can't provide them with any realized security?

Then I'm back to China perhaps intervening to end this war because they may still want or need to trade with the USA - they may want their cake and eat it too.

Is China "the world's factory" now considered the emerging world largest economic power or is it actually the world's largest economy when measured by different parameters, such as purchasing power parity?

It is not fully going away as some nations will still use the USD in trade settlements. The Petrodollar influence is diminishing as Trump put an end to all the trade sanctions with the disruptions caused.

The Petrodollar is secured by the US Navy's ability to protect the trade routes. With that capability degraded, the BRICS nations are picking up the pieces.

Are you trying to claim that Iran went over to Texas, broke into the refinery, and released the petroleum based material into the refinery that caused the explosion?   Really?    Looks to be a regular accident.

And the two posters who 'liked' your comment.  Guess they think Iran snuck around the world and lit off a bomb in Texas too?    That's funny.
