And Iran saying hostile things isn't the same as an imminent nuclear strike.

Quote: And Iran saying hostile things isn't the same as an imminent nuclear strike. You don't wait until the nuke is on the launchpad. That's moronic.
Iran was an uncontained threat. Endless seas of drones stored underground, massive numbers of missile launchers, tons of missiles and bombs, nuclear ambitions coming close to fruition with 60% enrichment achieved, 47 years of endless proxy attacks by Hezbollah, Houthis, and Palestinians ... and ENDLESS promises of death to America, Israel, and Allies when they become able to do it.
War was coming. Iran promised it. And it was at hand. Only fucking morons would wait until the nukes were on the Iranian launch pads to neutralize that threat. The military advantage was to take care of the threat now.
I think the administration has severely underestimated how tight a grip the Iranian government has on it's citizens and that they won't be rising up as quickly as they anticipated. And there are millions of religious nutjob morons in Iran who will keep fighting because they think they are fighting for their imaginary Mahdi and imaginary god. So it'll be messy over there for a long while.
But it still had to be done. Frankly, Europe looks incredibly STUPID for seeing the threat but refusing to do anything about it. And no ... bad faith negotiations were going nowhere. Iran just kept on lying. So more talking would be a weakness, not a strength, for the free West.

That quote doesn't prove what you think it does.
Officials like Christopher Wray or intelligence leaders routinely list multiple threats in broad terms during hearings.
Saying "imminent threats" in that context pretty much equates to ongoing risk.
Not a specific, about-to-happen attack.
Next.

I don't see where he mentioned Iran, can you provide specific quotes from Kent?
"In his December 11, 2025, testimony before the House Homeland Security Committee, Joe Kent highlighted several key threats to the homeland: - Jihadist Terrorism: Kent emphasized the persistent threat from ISIS and Al-Qaeda, noting they have found sanctuary in Afghanistan, Syria, and parts of Iraq. He warned of their use of encrypted apps and online propaganda to inspire attacks within the U.S., citing a disrupted plot in Michigan with ties to ISIS.
- Afghan Evacuees with Terrorist Ties: He identified 88,000 Afghans brought into the U.S. under the Biden administration’s "Allies Welcome" program as a top concern, stating that 2,000 of them have known ties to terrorist organizations.
- Cartels and Gangs as Terrorist Organizations: Kent highlighted the fentanyl crisis and gang violence, announcing that the Trump administration had designated cartels and gangs as foreign terrorist organizations. He noted that around 35,000 "narco-terrorists" had been added to the U.S. terrorist watchlist, with approximately 6,000 blocked from entering the country.
- Open Border Threats: He expressed alarm over the unknown number of individuals with potential terrorist ties who entered the U.S. illegally under open border policies, calling it an unresolved and significant security risk."

Well, good luck with the fire that you did not start.
Im sure everything will work out spiffingly, after all what could possibly go wrong.
Now, if you will excuse me, i have a garden to dig and turn over today.

Anti war was an American talking point that drove campaigns on both the left and right for decades. Trump ran on being anti war, and specifically regime change and nation building.
We’ve done regime change lite in Venezuela… though so far I’ll admit that has been rather clean. We went into Iran with rhetoric about regime change, but there was rhetoric around a lot of the objectives, those don’t seem clear. Nor does it look like we’ll topple their regime.
And we’re already looking at Cuba.
Hes also talked about acquiring Canada and Greenland, both from allies.
Talking against that isn’t leftist, it’s also the campaign platform from MAGA.
Most Americans wanted to stop being the global police. Anti war has been one of the few things both sides can agree on for decades (voters, not politicians as most have them have proven their actions are different than campaign promises).

A different perspective on this conflict from an ancient history, exopolitical, spiritual view. The 'Ark of the Convent' has been corrupted by Orion & Alpha Draconian factions, along with the powerful families controlling this world. Fake news has taken over along with other inversions to promote war. AI is the goal in this convergence of power. With the legal guard rails currently in place with how AI is going, the apocalypse is on its way.
Some of this video does go out into the grey zone. How patriarchy is using ignorance to promote war is the situation.

I take it you can't or won't compare the situation now with the escalating oil prices caused by Trump's war with Iran, and during Biden's presidency when oil prices rose because of sanctions on Russian oil, when Putin invaded Ukraine. It was you who claimed 'gas' prices were higher under Biden, yet the prices now are self induced because of Trump's little was with Iran.
The situation now is Trump's own doing.
