Trump says he bombed Iran
Economic Warfare
All Iran really has to do is hold out until our bond market breaks

"Iran has NO intention of winning militarily.

None.

They figured out something far more dangerous: – The US burns $1 BILLION every single day this war continues – The stock market has lost DOZENS of billions since this started – Recession probability just spiked by 50%

Iran is TAUNTING Trump to keep attacking.

Not because they can win — because every day he does, America bleeds money.

Think about that for a second.

A country with a fraction of America's military budget found the one weakness no amount of firepower can fix: The US economy can't afford an endless war.

And Iran knows it."

"According to the Pentagon, Trump’s operation in Iran cost $11.3 billion in its first six days, exceeding DOGE’s total savings ($9.4 billion codified by Congress) by roughly $2 billion. The number today, 12 days into the war, is certainly much higher."

Agreed.    They aren't going to stop either.

Although they could win if they activated their 600,000 troops and 1,000,000 reservists and dove into their 42 million population.  They have the people power to walk over Israel.

I disagree with the taunting part as Iran's President is actively looking for negotiation and diplomacy to end this war and is hoping Russia and/or Pakistan can intervene as mediators to negotiate with the US and Israel for resolutions and terms for peace.

Every country will end up hurting economically.

----

"In a post on social media on March 12, 2026, President Pezeshkian outlined conditions for ending the war with the U.S. and Israel: recognition of Iran’s legitimate rights, payment of reparations, and firm international guarantees against future aggression.  He reiterated Iran’s commitment to peace and stated he had spoken with leaders of Russia and Pakistan to advance de-escalation efforts.
Pezeshkian has also emphasized that Iran will not allow external threats to undermine its security and territorial integrity, while calling for restraint and diplomacy to prevent a broader regional conflict."

Al Jazeera.  That's entertaining.  No agenda there  Lol  (intense sarcasm)  And when Iran 'negotiates', it just lies.   This statement flys in the face of the statement supposedly put out by the Supreme Leader.   (which we all know to be a fake statement put out by his handlers).   Iran absolutely is taunting.   And it's bloviating.   And it's lying.   And it's blustering.   That's what everyone does in war and Iran is no different.

Well supposedly the Iranian President is meeting with the Russian government either today or tomorrow, so I'll wait to see what transpires with that.

"The Pentagon is moving a Marine Expeditionary Unit to the Middle East, as Iran steps up its attacks on shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, according to two officials who spoke to the Wall Street Journal. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth approved a request from U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) for an Expeditionary Unit, typically consisting of up to 2,500 Marines, to be deployed near Iran, with the Marines believed to be coming from Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center (MCAGCC) in Twentynine Palms, California."

Oorah
Good? Amphibious landing and assault craft are what The US needs with Irans ambitions to keep the strait in their control..

Iran's only advantage is blocking up to 30% oil from the world market. They want to force the world to negotiate their allowed existence. It's a deserved twist of fate that Iran is now trying to maintain its recognition as a state. Really is.

This could be (fittingly) like a 1979 bookend to The Ayatollah. To beat those prices when adjusted for inflation, oil needs to hit $148 a barrel.

In the scenario where the blockage is prolonged by Iran hardliners clinging to their power, Saudi Arabia and UAE have a limited capacity to use pipelines to the Red Sea or Gulf of Oman to bypass the choke point out of The Arabian Gulf. Which can do about 8 to 9 million barrels a day combined.

*But* if fuel prices get really bad. I invented a "solution" for everyone.
