I'm sure it's not quite the military you served with as it's been more 'radicalized' since Trump took over as Commander in Chief and appointed his yes men.

Radicalized? They can finally be trained like men again without political pandering getting in the way. That's the only reason two of my boys joined the Army, one is currently in basic training at Ft. Sill and the other is still in processing at Ft. Benning. Their 1st cousin is training to be a Navy combat medic, he's being sent to Iran as soon as his school ends in 12 more weeks.

I can't watch them (restricted at work) but I'd assume one is Hegseth's 2018 speech in Jerusalem, not in his capacity as Secretary of War?
And an Ambassador to Israel agreeing with Israel's position? (gasp) The horror!

Iran has launched ballistic missiles at the Bahrain Petroleum Company refinery in Sitra, an island off Bahrain. The BAPCO facility processes up to 400,000 barrels of oil daily, a critical energy hub in the Gulf. Authorities are responding to the attack.

Missile Strike Hits U.S. Oil Tanker in Northern Persian Gulf; Another Tanker Damaged Off Kuwait, Oil Leaking
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) says its navy struck an American oil tanker early Wednesday in the northern Persian Gulf, adding that the vessel is now burning after the attack. The US has not confirmed the incident.
Separately, the UK Maritime Trade Operations reported that a tanker about 30 nautical miles southeast of Mubarak Al Kabeer, Kuwait suffered a large explosion after a small craft was seen leaving the area. Oil is leaking from a damaged cargo tank and the vessel has taken on water, though the crew are reported safe.
Iran’s IRGC warned that during wartime all passage through the Strait of Hormuz will be under its control and that U.S., Israeli, and allied vessels will be targeted if detected

Doesn't a two week war change to now pushing it into September tell you something isn't going as planned?

Nope.
Battlefield conditions determine the scope of operations, not some arbitrary timeline.

How do you know the original two week timeline was arbitrary?
ETA: it actually was a four to five week timeline which had to have some sort of basis in scope of operations, yes?
I'd say the USA has grossly miscalculated this country's capabilities at defending themselves.

Maybe he wasn’t Secretary of State at the time. He must have had incredible foresight, things seem to be on track.
You can brush off Huckabee since he’s the ambassador to Israel, but some of that territory is in other allies land. It certainly wasn’t well received. I don’t think US policy should have anything to do with an expansionist country we have no treaties with. The “Israel is our greatest ally” thing is going away with the older generations though. Everyone else knows it’s the furthest thing from the truth.
