Trump says he bombed Iran
(06-27-2025, 06:34 PM)putnam6 Wrote: Respectfully, if interested, it was all pretty much explained in the DoD presentation what occurred... it just doesn't confirm your biases.

I can easily common-sense rationalize that the actual damage could be between the opposing sources.

Bias?  What bias?

OK. You believe what the government told you. This time.

Especially if they get a centrifuge working somewhere that can't be bombed.

As to a possible regime change.

I hope so, i also hope they elect(is that what they do?) someone progressive and willing to return Iran to the fold.

As opposed to the horrible old religious maniac currently at the helm of the nation.

But so far that has not translated into a unified opposition capable of toppling the regime.

They are hanging on by a thread...................

The thing is, for collapse to occur, you'd likely need a major internal split.

Like a military coup or a sustained mass movement with broad elite support.

And the fact of the matter is that's a game of spin the bottle that may well lead to somebody worse taking control.

The Government change could be Military (as rumored now), or could be a full blown democracy switch monitored by The West, or could be a simple "buy-off" with the current Ayatollah leaving (also rumored) and replaced, or no Ayatollah at all with bought-off current people.

Get this speculation presented here, wild if true

Is faction within Iran letting Israel hit an unsecured nuclear target?

The barn door is open. Iran has cleared the entrance to one of the tunnels at Isfahan, which @ZcohenCNN reports was too deep to strike with MOPs. If Iran's stockpile of HEU was ever "buried" there, it isn't now.

This is some wild geopolitical drama going on, and if the IAEA had cameras, wouldn't those camera videos have evidence of the destruction

I have so many questions

TEHRAN – Iran has officially barred Rafael Grossi, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), from entering the country, as tensions continue to escalate in the region. In a major move, Iran also removed IAEA surveillance cameras from several of its nuclear facilities, cutting off key international oversight. This step marks a sharp deterioration in relations between Iran and global nuclear watchdogs. The situation worsened after Israel launched airstrikes on Iran on June 13, killing over ten nuclear scientists and senior military officials. The attack also caused hundreds of civilian casualties and widespread destruction. In retaliation, Iran fired missiles at Israeli cities, destroying government and military buildings in Tel Aviv and elsewhere. Dozens of Israelis were killed, and nearly a thousand others were injured in the attacks. Israel then requested military support from the United States. In response, U.S. B-2 bombers launched strikes on three Iranian nuclear sites. The bombings significantly damaged Iran’s nuclear infrastructure. Former U.S. President Donald Trump later declared that Iran’s nuclear capability had been eliminated. However, the region remains on high alert as the risk of a broader conflict continues to grow.

The IAEA and its director general’s reluctance to condemn attacks on civilian nuclear facilities—despite their inspectors regularly monitoring these sites—raises serious concerns. #nuclearpolicy #nuclearenergy #Iran #Tehran #CorruptGrossi #Grossi

The IAEA and its director general refused to condemn attacks on civilian nuclear sites, regularly monitored by their inspectors. The organization shared secret data with Western intelligence, aiding the assassination of scientists and the destruction of infrastructure.

As the bombing stopped, Iran began waging a new campaign—this time against its own people… “The situation for Iranian people is more dangerous now than before the war,” said Narges Mohammadi, a Nobel Prize Iranian human-rights activist. @wsj reports https://t.co/5Ga2fA1K9J

“Last week, Iran flew at least four civilian aircraft to the Omani capital of Muscat for safekeeping. One of the planes included Iran’s presidential Airbus A340, which landed in Muscat on June 18, according to flight trackers.” The Iranian planes were filled with cash in case the Iranian leaders needed to flee. @WSJ

I'm pretty sure that removing that 60% uranium and other enrichments was done, and I am sure that removing it in advance was probably allowed by the US to make sure there was not a major risk of a release of radiation that would harm countries around it.  We were probably satisfied with just destroying their ability to further enrich it to a higher point.

Plus, from satellites they probably witnessed those trucks with the Uranium being hauled out, and I am sure they monitored where it went to also.  I am sure the military is watching if it is moved from where it was delivered too.  If that enriched uranium messed up the environment around the middle east, the USA would have been condemned for bombing it, that is how things work.

Their ability to enrich it more is probably severely hampered for a few years.  Maybe they will just sell it to China or Russia....or maybe we will buy it as part of some deal.  It is enriched way too far to be used in a nuclear power plant.  I am sure that China would love to buy it to enrich to fill all the nuclear missiles they are building now.  At sixty percent, it could fuel some kind of military energy weapons too.  ones used to shoot down missiles.

I am sure that what we are not allowed to know of this is way more than we are allowed to know.  We only hear bits and pieces of stuff they purposely leak out, not much of the really top secret stuff is capable of being leaked.
