I wonder if he actually said that.   As for him saying they are friendly with neighboring countries ... that's funny.   Iran is bombing the hell out of them.   And Iran isn't just targeting American bases.   So this guy lies as much as has father did ... IF he's actually the one saying this stuff.

That's a tricky thing though, isn't it.   While the law is in of itself good, 'hate speech' can mean different things to different people.   Same with 'incitement to violence'.   Same with 'defamation'.   If I tell the truth that men can not get pregnant, the left screams 'hate speech'.   If a Christian says that homosexuality is against Gods law, and someone gets upset and firebombs their church, does the court say that the Christian 'incited violence' by 'hate speech' and that the bomber was acting in self defense?   If I tell the truth that Islam is, in it's pure form, a violence mess, is that 'hate speech' even though it's true?   That's the kind of lawsuits and conversations that go on here.

'hate speech'.   'incite to violence'.   'defamation'.  Sounds straight up.   But really is tricky stuff.

But speech that incites imminent violence, true threats, obscenity, or national security breaches is also against the law in the USA.

You have broader latitude to criticize the government and religion.

But start talking about hurting people or inciting others to do evil acts of depravity, and authorities may well intervene.

Let's face facts, most grown adults with half a brain understand perfectly well what's acceptable to say or suggest to others, simply depending on context.

At the end of the day, it's not really that hard to fathom.

The world is going to hell in a handbasket. 

I agree, if you threaten someone else with death or violence.

You should take what you have coming from authorities or otherwise. 

The kicker is people who tell you they are coming to get you, and/or going to hurt you, are 9 times out of 10 complete and utter rockets.

That being said, all it takes is one with some conviction or a screw loose...

Hence the reason we have to have laws in place to chase up the dangerous crazies i suppose.

The current price increase on goods that have already made it to our shores is what i'm referring to as panicans, the strait of Hormuz isn't technically closed shadow fleets continue to move through it at their own risk.

It’s effectively closed. 6 ships have been hit, and a vast majority aren’t moving through.

Of course, our government isn’t being honest about that. Trump said the strait opening is going well after three tankers were hit. He also said naval ships would escort them through, which hasn’t happened yet. The secretary of energy tweeted the other day before market close that one of our naval ships escorted one through and deleted the post minutes later. It was enough to dramatically move the market. They later blamed that on a staffer.

None of this should come as a surprise either, back in the summer we said we obliterated the whole nuclear program along with fissile material. I remember being called a panican then for questioning if it was over or just the beginning. That was in this very thread, pages 60-100 I believe. 

Yet here we are. 

General rule of thumb is politicians lie or embellish more than they tell the truth. We’ve already declared victory, yet the situation is more tense for the global community than it was just a few weeks ago.

I'm reading chatter in different places that this new Ayatollah is in a coma and 
that his handlers are issuing statements in his name.   I don't think anyone knows
what is really going on with him.   Wouldn't surprise me if he's half dead and  
someone else really is issuing statements in his name.   Until we see him on 
video alive and talking ....

Hard to say.

Its even possible Iran is putting that out to make themselves look weak, or keep western powers from attempting to kill him.

That wouldn’t be unique to them, I think the story about the USS Ford’s plumbing may have been to sow doubt of a short term attack. Just a hunch though.
