Trump says he bombed Iran

"President Donald Trump initially indicated a two- to three-day timeline for the war with Iran, stating this in an interview with Axios on February 28, 2026, shortly after the first strikes began.  However, he later revised his projection, saying the campaign would last four to five weeks—a timeline he reiterated on March 2, 2026, with the caveat that it could extend “far longer than that.”"

Hesketh appears to be the biggest US liability - he knows nothing about geo-politics in the M.E and has repeatedly contradicted himself/the president/military in reasons and strategy behind the current conflict numerous times every day; he seems too coked off his tits to know what year it is let alone speak coherently on the issue.  Israel appear to have a strategy based on Netanyahu's adress to persians to wait until a sign to overthrow the regime - but the US admin contradict this by refusing to cite democracy/fate of Persians as a reason for the war.

Trump seems a bit wiser despite all his faults and is openly admitting that the replacement Iranian regime is likely to be far worse than the last, but he needs to  immediately replace Hesketh with someone qualified for the job to avoid a WW3/China securing upperhand in energy wars scenario and announcve some form of plan to avoid international isolation.

With Christie Noem now out ... this is probably true.
Trump Rejects Khomenis Son as Leader of Iran

Quote:'They are wasting their time. Khamenei's son is a lightweight. I have to be involved in the appointment, like with Delcy [Rodriguez] in Venezuela,' Trump told Axios, in response to reports that the slain ayatollah's son Mojtaba is the frontrunner to succeed him.

'[Ali] Khamenei's son is unacceptable to me. We want someone that will bring harmony and peace to Iran,' Trump said, adding that the US would be back in a war within five years if the heir accedes as Iran's Supreme Leader

War is typically where partisans and even the media can find common ground.
As I suggested, they are going for the whole enchilada...

Not a fan of attempting this, but if they pull it off, we wont have to ever worry about Iran and we have another potent ally in the Middle East

Yeah, but there is that whole January 6th thingy where Trump, allegedly,
was just fine with the crowd killing Mike Pence and Trump said ...
'Is Pence dead yet?"    Pences wife refused to look at Trump or stand for
Trump at some function a year and a half ago.  (forgot which function ...
maybe a funeral)

This is Pence's stance:

"This stance was echoed in a March 5, 2026, interview with CNN’s Kaitlan Collins, where Pence said "history will record that he made the right call", especially given Iran’s refusal to negotiate after the strikes"

https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2025/...ight-call/

Iran refused to give up it's self-defense capabilities and claimed it has an inalienable right to enrich uranium, that's not refusing negotiations that is refusing to give up their sovereignty.

Which world powers would ever give up their ability to defend themselves?
"The only journey is the one within."
There is an element of the "we certainly should have engaged Iran yesterday!"

But the fact that it took so long to take hold as a task... gave many people 'opportunities" to exploit what is coming... and right now... boy are they ready...

I think Iran is performing a kind of "suicide by cop."
(my feeble mind thinks it's of primary importance to come away from this as martyrs.)

Which is yet another consequence of 'religious activism' as civil governance.
