You do realise that recorded history absolutely demolishes your claims?
And long before we ever had an empire.
People across Africa, Asia, and the Americas, were building cities, kingdoms, and undertaking massive engineering projects.
While Britain was still arguing with mud, burning stuff, and blaming witches.
Ever heard of Great Zimbabwe, Timbuktu, the pyramids, Angkor Wat, or the Grand Canal of China?
Civilisations don't suddenly appear Orby because a bloke in a tan pith helmet arrives.
And the "we gave the world everything" is sheer comedy gold.
Paper.
Printing.
Gunpowder.
The compass.
They came from China.
Algebra and math came from the Islamic world.
The concept of 0 came from India.
Modern crops, rubber, chocolate, potatoes, and tomatoes came from America.
Britain contributed enormously to the Industrial Revolution, absolutely without a doubt.
To suggest otherwise would also be to ignore history.
But pretending everyone else lived in huts waiting to be rescued is history written in purple Crayola.
Where did I mention China? I have huge admiration for this prosperous ancient race that needed no civilising whatsoever. You list their inventions. Totally agree.
Islamic world? Much of their development simply moved from India, through them, then onto Europe. Before India? Maybe China?
Great Zimbabwe Wowzers and depends on 'who' actually built those structures. Plenty of groups including Greeks, Romans, Arabs and probably Indians, Chinese moved through that region many years ago. Great Zimbabwe does show some level of intelligence. The question is built by whom. In adidtion it wasn't exactly the 'standard' for the region south of the Sahara was it

I've just grabbed a cottage pie and tin of peas from a Lidl. Admittedly it was in a city yet it was like a seen from Out of Africa. Never seen anything like it. Hundreds of them. Absolutely teeming with invaders. Hey I do realise that the movement of people makes the world go round. All our nations are built from the same. Yet this is not a trickle. This is an invasion, largely of muslims and their numbers are massively under represented by the PTB. Yes they do proortionately take more benefits. If you believe the men are going to work in our non cash paying jobs like taxi and fast food think again. If you think the women are going to get a job on the production line when they are dressed head to foot in a medeival black outfit, with a post box on their head and slits for eyes rather than claiming disability and popping out a dozen more invaders think again. They are growing in number all the time and many should not even be here. If a siren goes off you can see half the ethnics in the street look of their shoulder with anxiety. Nobody knows how many are here, millions are probably living under cover. I'm telling you this truth............... We are being invaded!
Do you even live in the UK?
Your racist GB News type spouting is getting really tiresome.

History........ Top score in my school (seriously) You should learn some history rather than you're oh so obvious reliance on the state mandated books you were 'educated' with.

Yes, you left them roads, but took the transport.
You left them cities, but took the capital.
You left them the mining equipment too heavy to move.
You left them farmland without a distribution network.
You left them rail lines designed to take goods to a boats, NOT for domestic trade.
its about as shortsighted as Trump if he actually thought after the Supreme Leader was killed Iranians would rise up and immediately start a free government.
And now its back on topic.

Oh dear Old Carpy. I believe we've been here before. Yes born and bred British. English by nation. Don't watch GB News it's rubbish. Just Blaze channel 64, lots of motherships and flying logs on there. Far more fun

Yet we left them factories and they just let them collapse. I know people who've worked in the Pretoria auto industry and they've told me it all started to go wrong post '95 when they had to take on natives as assembly workers. They just can't do the job. I speak the truth, sorry if it doesn't fit with the pc liberal lefty world

Now you are just doing Olympic-level mental gymnastics to avoid the obvious point.
Humans built things all over the world, not just in Europe.
Great Zimbabwe isn't some mystery chalk outline.
You don't get massive stone cities by accident or built by "a passing Roman that fancied a detour through sub-Saharan Africa with a wheelbarrow."
Also, "it moved from India through them" is not how mathematics, science, or innovation works.
Those cultures develop ideas, improve them, and pass them on, there's no single "civilisation Wi-Fi router" in Europe.
And "not standard for the region" is just another way of you saying you're ignoring evidence that doesn't fit your story.
"Yet so it is, we see the illiterate bulk of mankind that walk the high-road of plain common sense, and are governed by the dictates of nature, for the most part easy and undisturbed. To them nothing that is familiar appears unaccountable or difficult to comprehend."

'State mandated books"? What, like the Magna Carta? Etc...
I have an Honors Degree in Law, apart from three A Levels and nine O Levels.
One of the books I studied for A Level English Lit was Thomas Hardy's Tess of the Durbevilles.
Was that "State mandated"?

Oh, I really dont Trust the opinion of white South Africans in the 90s, or their thoughts on the 90s. Has too much of a George Wallace quality to it. As does what you say, which may as well be:
"The decline in South Africa started when they ended apartheid and desegregated workplaces."
That is how it reads.
And while we are on South Africa, these guys are from Pretoria too.
otherwise...
The commentary and its underlying intended racism is escalating to a point where you can do it somewhere else for a little bit.
