Like he thinks he can broker a takeover of Danish territory. Panama, the canal, we could probably buy out, but Danish are so prideful and nationalistic themselves, that they'd put up every road block to keep their resources untapped and out of US control.

He's funny because we wants to be The Greatest President Ever. It's less frightening because you can tell in his mind this is like his Louisiana Purchase and he's manifest destiny reborn like George Washington's coast to coast vision.

And maybe like with the first Louisiana Purchase he's buying a place to send all the undocumented migrants? Like Oklahoma became primarily "the place to move unwanted indigenous peoples to have more room for white anglo-saxon protestant habitation," Greeland could be where he sends all the unwanted migrants and even people who disagree with him.. it could be like his own Siberia. Force them to work in mines even?

Yes, that's off the wall, but I can't really put him past proposing even that.

I might be a bit late to this thread...but last I heard the folks in Greenland wanted independence anyway...and wanted to break from the Danish. I also would bet that they would want to utilize their countries resources to their benefit...which cost a lot of money...something that wouldn't be an issue if they were under the united states. I don't think its out of the realm of possibilities is all I am saying. Danes are proud but if we are only gonna selectively allow people the right to self-determination we won't get far for long...
