china’s gobbling them up in Africa, Afghanistan, etc…

may be the number one reason he’s interested.

I see that it's Uranium.

The problem for Trump is that Greenland has banned Uranium mining. Hence, the military force threat?

I am afraid that Greenland is in the eyes of China and Russia, the question is will both countries try to take Greenland by force? I wonder.

NATO's forces are ready and able to take on Russia and China anywhere in the world, if the need arises.

From what I am reading, it appears raising the debt ceiling vote will likely not go Trump's way.

If taxes were raised for both the ultra wealthy and big corporations it is estimated the government could raise the following amounts:

From AI search:

Taxing billionaires and corporations could raise billions of dollars annually, which could help fund global crises and reduce poverty.  Billionaires
  • A 2% tax on the wealth of 2,700 billionaires could raise $250 billion annually.
  • A 5% wealth tax on the world's billionaires and multi-millionaires could raise $1.7 trillion annually.
  • A global minimum tax of 2% on billionaires could encourage countries to tax their wealthiest at higher rates.
Corporations
  • A global minimum tax of 15% on multinational corporations could raise an additional $250 billion annually.
  • A windfall tax on oil and gas companies could raise revenue for the government.

A tax on business is essentially a tax on the consumer as businesses will pass it on as a cost of business, reflected in pricing. A tax on the higher tier of wealthy folks also isn't very helpful as most people with that kind of wealth run on debt as if there is no profit on paper no tax is owed...so they will just buy more things for their business and boom profit gone. Its literally why they spend millions and in some cases hundreds of millions for corporate conventions and retreats every year...

It sounds nice but in reality it won't do a damn thing but put more burden on those with the least means to carry it.

nit.not if we keep sending all our stuff to a losing war in Ukraine. While we are doing that we aren't stepping up production in any meaningful way...mway...meanwhile Russia and China are steadily increasing production abilities to compensate for whats being expended in Ukraine.

What about hitting China's forces via AI and as for Russia, they are still technologically behind everyone, aren't they?

It will be unavoidable should an invasion or more invasions happen.

N.A.T.O. is gearing up with the mindset of being prepared for war within the next four to five years.

If Greenland gets independence from Denmark then they will no longer be a member of NATO. One thing we seem to forget is that if the people of Greenland want to sell parts or all of their country, then Russia and China will then legally be able to put in bids too.

I can now see why the U.S. would want to invade and secure Greenland by force.

Quote:As a territory of Denmark, it is part of NATO, but Greenland is pursuing independence from Copenhagen and some experts fear that could open a door for Russia and China to gain a foothold in the country.

China is always ahead and behind.

They do amazing things… and the buildings collapse from corruption in construction and the electronics last just to the end of the warranty period if your lucky…

Chinese society is Chinese society.
