More along the lines of:
"Now don't you go putting you're top opposition opponent in jail and then use your endless victim card to justify it, Trump."
They'll be comparable by 2027 as opposition front-runners.
And I am wondering how much the USA will have emulated Russia by that point. Already doing the "president for life" thing.

Go Bono-President! I'll campaign like I still believe in the lie and everything. You don't want to feel the Bern or let Kamala and Tim ride again.
Do you think Newsome will draw enough support outside of Cali? besides New York and Illinois even in California, he has taken hits for his fire response.
His mind was not for rent to any god or government, always hopeful yet discontent. Knows changes aren't permanent, but change is ....

Kamala screwed up by choosing Walz over Shapiro, probably wouldn't have lost by as much. But hindsight. Progressive got it's ass-kicked. Bernie pushed single payer.
I look at it this way.
How do you feel about the direction Trump is taking this country?
A. Strongly support
B. Support
C. Neutral
D. Oppose
(E. Strongly oppose.)
How would you feel about the direction Newsom ANY DEMOCRAT would take the country?
B. Support
I mean, it is not like there is any hope of someone like Murkowski to recapture the GOP. And because that's not happening at time soon, I gotta support the closest thing.

A lot of Americans both in California and outside view Newsome as a corrupt, self-serving career hypocrite, who just says whatever he can to stay in power.
He has flopped so hardcore the last year due to poor ratings that now he admits 'trans athletes competing in womens sports is unfair' and 'in-person work is more productive' and is parroting a lot of traditionally 'rightwing' statements. Newsome barely survived recall votes, if you believe the votes were counted accurately.
Navalny RIP was a corporate lawyer who became a political activist in his 30's, who was opposed to Putin's corrupt government.

What reality did he barely survive recall efforts?

We're they missing 3 million votes from the San Jaoquin Valley or something?
It's a lesser of two evils vote.
I blindly absolve all his wrongdoings and defend him at all costs, regardless of what reality says. I will let slide his populist flip-flopping, and will always assume my candidate is correct and justified in their current reasoning, and never question their decision making as best for everyone.
That's just how party politics works now...

"Party politics"
"Therein lies the demon" he said, as they dragged him away to the end.

Worked for the DNC and 4 years with Joe Biden...
Will the Democrats have an actual primary or will they just anoint Newsome so all donations go to his campaign?
East Coast peeps seem high on Bernie and AOC...

The machine that make Newsoms makes Trumps.
And it doesn't care about any of the differences between them.
You're being played.

Their lips move.
I now know why I am called a grown up. Every time I get up I groan.

"Competition is good for...."
Something, I can't remember.
Democrats aren't known for publicly "competing" conventionally.
I expect could be either a) embarrassingly ugly, or b) somehow cringeworthy.
Sorry, my neurosis can transcend the Trump barrier.
