Trump Neurosis Thread

Or just plain old obvious facts?

Therein begins the tradition of flinging media content around as if it were up to them and their narrative to determine truths.  This is the part where I have to reject what you have decided are facts?  Or is this the part where I do the same in return?

One provides the "words of others" (press) supporting their case... often full of superfluous unchecked framing, or given with obvious biases and intentions.  The other objects.  They provide what is tantamount to the 'press release' of the former's antagonists... and so the cycle  continues into a useless exercise in tit-for-tat with little actual discussion about the actual matter of contention...

Yeah... I think I have to stand by that description of exchanges which - while theoretically potentially entertaining, educational, or even informative; quite often seem to lose focus of the thread topic - focusing on authors of their offered words, or favorite heroes or villains...

But I'm just being picky... apologies, if I raised you hackles.  Smile

No hackles raised, but the bullying and grifting remains quite obvious.
I now know why I am called a grown up. Every time I get up I groan.

So if I don't post a link substantiating my claim or statement, then my claim or statement would seem to have no validity. If I do post a link, it must be from an either approved or accepted sources otherwise I'm being disingenuous or lacking the intelligence it takes to discern fact from fiction. Perhaps I've not learned the proper way to form a rebuttal here. Perhaps if you have information regarding the situation (President Trump receiving 40 million in free court representation in exchange for cancelling an executive order against them) then you could elaborate.

I know both sides do it and granted I know that I can just look back four years and I can see all the things that the left has done. I don't remember the left being so blatant and out in front with it. I don't like people who lie, but if you're going to lie, at least make an attempt to hide it. If you're going to break the law, at least have enough decency to pretend like I won't notice if you hide it. Taking bribes or extortion by any government official, especially the president, goes against my very moral fiber. He thinks I'm stupid and maybe I am. But if it wasn't okay when the Democrats do it then why is it okay now that the Republicans are doing it. Why are we okay with one side breaking the law as long as it's our side?

If it's breaking the law and OMB don't you think there would be a little more discourse about this in the media?

We don't know the details as of now all Ive read is the BBC article... there's likely information missing here...

For one the law firm probably desperately needed thier access to security information.

Yes!

Boo Maine! And boo generational basketball players from Maine too! Everyone from the state is evil. You must root against Cooper Flagg, America! His just name is just like Randal Flagg, who is an apostate of Satan. And he plays for a team with Devils in the name.

You must take a Stand.... against Duke. Who as a university supports both DEI and transathletes... so there you go, you're morally obligated to root against them... for your soul.

again i think you must be sarcasming again because not everyone from maine is evil i think? anyway that i have known personally, unless you are making larger point that everyone is evil in some way but i don't think so because your rhetorical is usually more parmisan. but fun thank you! so ha ha. although please be careful not to become too maureen dowdy. pivot. but i do suspect college sport sexes issue is in a way more marketing pragmatism now that point has been made less hay to make pushing it and more about capitulation to eviltrump! that issue can now be milked for more hay which is horrible agriculture. but idealogues latched to the issue, who im not saying are necessarily wrong mind you, are geniune in the issue representing their larger windmill to tilt at against the injustices to the world. its just their paycheck is paid by more pragmatic who will bend the knee to larger agenda as well as seeing that more and more potential sponsors are in a position of unfortunately seeing college sports as a bit of a joke now.

any way the issue of power of agenda and censorship over higher education is very worrying and a huge sign of openly authoritarian nonegalitarian state egads, but i guess after covid many masks are coming off!

edit: i read more again and if you are being sarcastic you are saying peoples prejudices are being manipulated! that is true.

When it comes to college basketball I already loathe Duke. However, If the state supports the university, which NC does, I realize just a few Duke administrators made those decisions, I certainly feel no obligation to besmirch the other Blue Devil alumni. No matter which side they fall on an issue everybody has a right to thier opinion. Even Christian Lattner...

I don't assign that transitional/associative responsibility to identities not directly responsible.

Right or wrong a Democracy is beholden to a certain ratio of proportionality, haha if im wording that correctly.

I'm trying to use the magick with a pretentious "k." I'm hoping my words somehow are able to effect causal outcomes by getting other people to put their hope in Duke losing as well, thereby increasing negative feedback and transferring through the aether to somehow change their luck. Highly adept mumbo jumbo to shrink the size of the basket for them.

Just thought I could harness the war on education. Use some of that Columbia/Ivy League (Except Dartmouth) disdain and get people to cheer for bad things like they do all the other pro-Muslim antisemitic top-ranking universities across America.

Duke's practically Ivy League. Like Stanford, MIT, or Northwestern. So they are also progressive academics. And likely infested with that evil pro-muslim/pro-woke sentiment that is costing them their funding!

And it's sarcasm if you believe it's sarcasm.

It's sarcasm + a genuine criticism + cardinal and navy blood.
