Trump Neurosis Thread
"All of this is unchartered territory for historians and economists alike."

On that, we can agree.

Interesting times, indeed.
I now know why I am called a grown up. Every time I get up I groan.

Yes sir

and FWIW Im not besmirching your educational resume, we've discussed this briefly on ATS.

Completely different backgrounds and life experiences, different mentors and responsibilities, different countries, and different socio-economic influences.

We aren't going to agree on everything, we aren't supposed to.

My formal education was good old American Public Education Georgia peach flavored, and it ended one year after community college. You are undoubtedly more learned and educated.

My economic thoughts are undoubtedly well rooted in a varied 40-year career, mostly in an industry that was acutely sensitive to market fluctuations—and still is.

Chinese tariffs will directly affect us and so will the Canadian ones if they go on too long, but honestly Im more concerned about the communities hit by the recent tornados in the immediate future. One can not worry too much about what may happen when the world is full of what has happened.

Ive got limited time to make up for lost business the last 5-6 years, it's possible but the American economy needs to be clicking along my small business needs the proposed tax breaks, and my territory needs to avoid any weather or other natural or man-made disasters.

Those are my lone neurotic concerns, no doubt based on my upbringing. My father was rather apolitical he had the mindset of taking care of you and yours, it didn't matter who was President or what else was happening. You still needed to go to work and take care of your responsibilities, most of the time the rest of the world was background noise.

Quote:Throughout the South and Midwest, residents and work crews were beginning to clean up Monday and survey the destruction after severe weather across seven states kicked up a devastating combination of wildfires, dust storms and tornadoes, claiming at least 39 lives since Friday

At least three people were killed in central Alabama and damage was reported in 52 of the state's 67 counties, Gov. Kay Ivey confirmed.
Severe weather also caused a tree to fall on a trailer in Brevard, North Carolina, killing two boys, ages 11 and 13, fire officials said Sunday. A tornado watch issued across a large swath of North Carolina and Virginia expired early Monday morning, though the National Weather Service in Wilmington reported the chance of showers and storms would continue.

Absolutely. Just look at ATS now.

It's an echo chamber.

I have no wish to go back.

Speaking of neurosis and Trump, in viewing the partisan idiocy, the longer this administration goes on , and the more information that comes out, it all points to nothing to me so much as political theatre for the masses about some great saviour of America and it's people when in fact its not just that both parties are in bed with eachother and with corporations, it's Trump seeming more and more to be nothing but a puppet Pater for the right, and a public pariah for the left when in fact his ego is being played and pumped up by the same monied interests that run both parties.
He is a smokescreen figurehead for the more 'acceptable' (to the right) rise of technofascism and corporatocracy, versus the harder version that Biden and Obama were trying to shove down peoples throats as 'good for the environment / oppressed peoples.'
I don't buy into this patriotic stuff when I see no real proof of anyone being deported or borders being shored up. Headlines do not equal action.
I see no proof of a return to gold standards and proper economics. They are obsessed with CBDC and crypto.
What I do see is a different flavour of the march towards even worse centralisation, tracking surveillance , and fake digital money and worst of all, transhumanism.

Musk and others are pushing heavy on the AI in every day life/neuralink transhumanist virtual life mindset.
Trump is supporting Musk since he loves recognition and being 'cutting edge'
They are just rolling it out behind the scenes and it's not good.
The Ukraine is a money laundering game
Russia is a distraction for the masses.
Putin was basically a Young Global Leader like Trudeau.  https://www.worldtribune.com/klaus-schwa...mir-putin/
Trump wants a centralised oligarchy America that is strong for his mafia.
It is mafia infighting between EU and America.
Russia also does not want globalist meddling in Russia , but in the end is also behind the technofascism but wants a more Russian flavour. He supported the Wuhan flu programme, he is just fighting with the American gang/Nazi influence .
Its all a big theatre between various mafia gangs.

They all want to control the end result, but they all want the same end result
You chipped, under a social credit yoke, with no individual property or rights.

Trump talks politely to Obama in private.  There may be professional differences but its all just a big rich asshole club.

I'm inclined to think now, more than ever, that we have to find a space for a dialogue about "the show."

"The show" has become the tool to actually make people to think that those people we pay to stand before us and speak words are actually working "for us."

The new standard for success for these partisan ideologues and zealots is simple: "Appearances."

The alternate lamenting and optimism is normal... and would dissipate naturally... except... "The show."

Talking heads are often just 'objects.'
Messengers aren't the message.

You can almost never know with certainty who the true authors (of what information we consume) are... but it is likely not the talking heads, nor their producers.

When 'free' media is in 'lockstep' something is controlling it.

Bingo

The old school and obvious coherent groups are things like Trilateral Commission, Bilderburg Group, World Economic Forum....
I find it sad when I try to talk about things on this site and others, and people automatically scream about Trump or Obama or Biden , or Putin or Starmer or Van Der Leyen when it goes beyond them. More harping about trying to be nonpartisan, I go....

I'm open-minded to a shadow government WEF shit I had a good meme somewhere listing them all, except now we probably need to add more groups

Mostly though it's loosely associated, and occasionally groups of the loosely associated will try to organize and manipulate the markets, economies, and governments.

Those have been around for decades let's not forget some legit businessmen wanted JFKjr gone and of course, we have the MIC and the businessmen behind General Smedley Butler's affair and before the Railroad Barons and before them The East India Company.

If money is involved some group of humans is going to try and control it, till we remove the power money has in society, there will be humans looking to grab as much as they can for as long as they can.
