Trump Executive Order okays incarceration of homeless

Never in the 249-year history of the US has a President went through as many impeachment hearing, backstabbing by political ideologs, and assassination attempts. You tell me why he wasn't able to drain the swamp during his first term.

If this was a grifting operation, then demanding that accountability is made of how the money is being spent would have been left off of the Executive Order.

You do realize that most cities with exploding crime also have an uncontrolled homeless crisis? Maybe you like the idea of people being forced to close businesses due to homeless people stealing items and then selling them a block or two over on the street, or people getting raped by some drug addict that felt like he needed to feel power, or perhaps you like the smell of pot and feces everywhere. I don't know since I don't know you personally. What I do know is if the people that need help getting off the street had the recourses to do so, then the crooks that take advantage of them would end up going away, and if people that became addicted to drugs got help and stop depending on them, the need to steal items to sell would go down, and of course if the people who have been kicked to the curb by society were able to the mental health care that they need then we wouldn't have as many misunderstood shooting taking place.

Since you put this out there about real solutions, then why don't you enlighten us with how you would deal with the Homeless Industrial Complex, and help the people on the street rather than exploit them like they are today?

By your own admission, the swamp is still intact and active

Which means the government is still a cesspool of corruption

But Trump is forging ahead with his policies, pretending he's a reformer

And you're happy to play along

Oh no, I've been caught in my own ideals. Give me a break, I even said that the not much was achieved during Trumps first term. That isn't the core topic of the thread.

But hey lets deflect from answering the question about solving the HIC?

The topic of the thread is Trump's EO

There is no solution for the homeless crisis unless you're willing to tackle the crisis at the government level, first

Which is unabated crime compounded by a two-tiered justice system

I'm pretty sure much of Trump's campaigns revolved around this issue

Yet, here he is pretending to MAGA in a contaminated environment

Anyone with half a brain knows it won't work

It's actually on this specific EO: Ending Crime and Disorder on America's Streets – The White House

Which is about empowering local government to deal with the homeless crisis. The EO provides resources that state will be able to use as well as safeguards in preventing the continued grifting that is taking place now with program that are supposed to help the homeless.

And since you already know that it won't work, explain why you believe that?

I get it that you hate the idea because Trump put it out there, but nobody has any better ideas for dealing with this homeless mess. You seemingly have hinted at a better way but still haven't provided any talking points of it. So instead of ranting off about anything generic anti-Trump, why don't you discuss the issue of how you think this EO will fail and maybe discuss with us how those failures can be fixed for a better success.

I'll just keep repeating because you seem to not want to hear

A corrupt government can't fix the ills of society

Trump's EO talks about getting to the root of the problem

The root is corruption. Period

If Trump isn't motivated to get to the root, then everything he's doing is performative

He's a performer

Who's involved in a massive coverup

Which has nothing to do with city and county communities shouldn’t tolerate people high out of their minds on the streets, where as a society (which can be different than government) should be seeking to get them treated, keep them safe, housed, and protect the community as a whole.  It’s not that hard do understand.

As a citizen I can volunteer and help feed the poor. I can’t do much more than vote every two years.

If you care so much, shut up.  Go join and volunteer with charities that fight human trafficking.  Which volunteer group do you donate and volunteer with concerning human trafficking.  Or you just another political hack.

have you read the EO? The reason I ask is because in it Trump states that accountability is to be made for the use of the grants. Being open and transparent about the use of the money does defeat the whole "Corruption" argument in the case of this EO. Bringing in transparency does limit if not kills the root of the issue of corruption.

I'm not sure what else you might not from this since you have refused to answer as to what your solution might be. I'm beginning to think your only idea is to use fire to burn the nation down to ash and then piss on it just so you can be right about something.

You obviously can't tolerate criticism of Trump

Too bad
Quote:Who gets to decide if some is "homeless"? Sounds like a way to expedite eminent domain actions:  Declare the owner of a desired piece of property to be "homeless". Incarcerate/ institutionalize them, and take the property for pennies on the dollar.

That will probably happen once the federal government switches back to communism.
