Sounds like a way to expedite eminent domain actions:

Declare the owner of a desired piece of property to be "homeless". Incarcerate/ institutionalize them, and take the property for pennies on the dollar.

How can it be "eminent domain" if it's already a Public Park or City Property like a street or sidewalk?  Duh

I'm currently reading one of the articles linked to on the Youtube page: Are we about to have Labor Camps.
Are you familiar with the movie The Shawshank Redemption? . The plot includes the prison warden collecting money from private companies for prisoner labor, on a separate set of books. Under the new reality, speculation goes: all legal and above board. No second set of books needed.

If somebody is a mental case wreck, drug addict, violent criminal, etc., how could they be productive in a labor camp?  Cool

But maybe that only applies for the working poor.

I dont think that will stop them from being rounded up, moved along, or incarcerated all the same.

It's not like having a job stops the likes of ICE from deporting so-called illegals.

I dont imagine the authorities that will be responsible for enforcing the likes of this "Executive Order" against the homeless will care much as to a person's employment status if they dont have a fixed abode.

If you have a job, then homelessness should not be an issue, because you should be able to afford accommodation.

And in a world where that is not the case, something is very, very, wrong indeed.

I know smack heads that hold down jobs xuenchen, same with people with mental health issues.

I also know hardened criminals who have changed their ways, paid their debts to society, and gotten on with life.

People can be productive and still have serious issues to contend with.

There used to be a federal agency called United States Interagency Council on Homelessness
True, homelessness was not eliminated by 2015.

But the new EO diverts funds from HUD, Transportation, and other agencies which could humanely ameliorate the problems in order to fund law enforcement and incarceration. Hospitals are shutting down because of Medicaid cuts. As far as I know, most costs of indigent mental health is covered by Medicaid.

There is a saying which was in vogue some time ago, Heinlein I believe, from his Moon novel: "There Ain't no such thing as a free lunch." (TANSTAAFL).

I saw one video in which the idea that in order for hospitals to treat the indigent, everybody who is currently covered by medical insurance will see their premiums go up. That will cut into money for rent and such, leaving economically vulnerable people in more jeopardy of being homeless and on the way to work camps. It's sort of like debtor's prison.

Sounds like that's another special money sponge  Lol

Trump's going to have to round them up and hide them out of sight.

It's all about optics.

"Optics" being B&W or Living Color?

Warning to travelers:

If ICE ignores green cards in round ups, the vagrancy police may ignore vehicle registration.

If using a highway rest area, make sure to have a current utility bill receipt with you to show current physical residency.

Just another paper to keep when asked "Show me your papers" in the land of the free.
There's a reason you separate military and the police. One fights the enemies of the state, the other serves and protects the people. When the military becomes both, then the enemies of the state tend to become the people. - Commander William Adama

Are they in Labor Camps or extended homelessness like being suggested?  [Image: seeingstars.gif]

People with real genuine IDs can set the standards for busting the fake ID carriers and abusers. Go Figure.
If there were no real genuine IDs, how could somebody have a fake ID?  Biggrin
