I think of the word "compromise" in the world of these people... these office holders, their hierarchal structure... their tenure...

How while we think of it most often as meaning a agreement point, an acceptable status quo, a balance of discomfort... to end a struggle.

But to them, those people who have an actual hand in the nuts and bolts of the skullduggery which leads to... well... we've all lived it.

"Compromise" means vulnerability, exposure, vivisection, (and all manner of other words metaphorically rhyming with the consequences of "shame.")

Imagine being literally plunged into their midst and trying to "clean house?"...
