Elon Musk and Trump discuss a “DOGE tax refund to every taxpayer
#11
This tax refund kinda comes off like when a company decides to get rid of benefits and gives the employees a party day at Six Flags instead.

Here's your rebate, so long healthcare. Among other things.

This is theater. Him and his army of college temps are going to find all the misappropriated monies and return it to the working class? Like the Robinhood they are.

What about the 3 billion in contracts you received from 17 different federal agencies in 2024, Mr. Musk?

I know Ukraine won't need Starlink anymore, and I see there will be no "armored Teslas" as The State Department put a stop to that one recently.

"See, everyone I even cut one of my own contracts! That's how committed I am to saving you all money!"

But they created all those jobs!

How many temps does The Purge have? It seems like an oversight to leave this page up on an official government website. They wasted everyone's money so we could build this, remember!?

The doomed boondoggle of an unnecessary 171 miles it is. Like mostly everyone I was like, "So we are going to build a bullet train to connect Fresno to San Francisco? Why?"

But you still have to be pretty suggestive to truly think 11 billion was spent on this alone.

There really is an entire 44 other viaduct bridges included in that spending package, and only 2 billion had been spent (including on other bridges) at the time of that photo. But Musk led the misinformed charge, because he's such a genius, and got himself a new job in the process.

And "FACTS" don't matter when the project is stupid and unnecessary. No one need hold Musk accountable for his viral idiocy. Because the overall sentiment of it being a total waste is mostly true.

It just could use a little less sensationalism politics. It's not good when the motivation for ones actions are built on intentional exaggerations.

OK, respectfully how about a $3000 tax refund
$2000
$1000
oh never mind let's just let the politicians divvy it up.

You know like if you have a start-up business with a revenue of 100 bucks you can get a grant from the EPA for 2 Billion dollars.

Well, you can if you are Stacy Abrams.....

They are all crooked FFS it's how politics is to a large degree

It just depends on who gets the checks...the last 12 of 16 years listened to the DNC's scam and wrote the checks now Trump gets the next 4 years.

If he screws up the DNC will have 2028-2032

The media is full of this stuff....

It could read in any number of ways... but in the end telling anyone in the tax yoke, "Hey, here's 5K... someone on our end took way too much" sounds good to me.

Truth is, this isn't  a political problem at all... it's a criminal one.  Since crime embraces both parties (and then some,) political zealotry is just dressing.

Graft has been elevated to 'political entitlement'... only the 'sponsored' fools won't acknowledge that.

Watching Starmer address the Parliament, stresses the importance of the relationship with the US and supposedly discussed an economic deal with Parliament's approval

"must increase thier relationship with America"
"new economic deal"
" the President's(Trump) clear support for Article 5 of NATO"

Those real quotes?

That's almost relieving, but it only goes so far, there's still so much cognitive dissonance. Way more actually. It says we only see his troll face.

Now you have two statements.

1. "the President's(Trump) clear support for Article 5 of NATO"
2. USA voting in favor of Russia at the UN.

While they both can exist simultaneously, there's a contradiction in the world of transitive application.

Which Trump is it, the one with a lexicon of pet names (that trolls support for Russia) or the one that allegedly cuts the BS behind the scenes (And affirms commitment to NATO)?

The tax refund is a distraction and the ebola USAID mistake by Elon is still not rectified.

Look here, not there.

This would help the American taxpayers greatly.

You know, the people that actually work!

I work with the public and I hear daily people have just stopped paying their credit card bills because it came down to that or eating and paying rent.

The older ladies are whining about not being able to afford cable anymore. I advise them of alternate ways to save costs, and they just don’t wsnt to deal with Hulu, Netflix, firestik any of that. One of them complained to me at the laundromat that she had worked in her life. She actually mentioned Dairy Queen as her only job, but gets SSI every month and walks better than I do.

I’m sick of hearing people say everybody should get it. I barely made it the last 4 ungodly years. Sometimes I had only a sweet potatoe for a meal a day while working 9-1/2 hour shift. While other people told me they got 350.00/wk in food stamps who are not working WTF.

Then there is the younger generation who cannot find jobs, I know people who work for quite a few companies around where I live that have told me a lot of Haitians have been hired.

I also speak to many many people who own their businesses and plan on leaving the state of Massachusetts soon. Way to go Mayor Wu (worse mayor ever).

People can’t find Drs anymore because the illegals take precedence over Americans now.

If people start just going bankrupt that will have a triggering effect on the overall system, too big to fail will be coming back.

The economy is in dire straights the working people need help now!!!!!

I actually had a coworker who is only 38 tell me she was going to try a get disability cause it would be more beneficial for her than working (she’s not wrong). Working needs to be profitable again or people will give up!
In tune
