We pay for the upkeep on all Presidential Libraries, which is millions per year for each one. Trump is trying to build an extension of the White House that will be there and used by Presidents for decades to come. The libraries are just a sop to their egos. If we shouldn't be paying for the ballroom, we sure as hell shouldn't be paying for the libraries.

Not sure about where you live but here in the USA, attempted assassination of a sitting president is a serious crime.
