I assume you don't get much around ancient works.  The last time I checked, it was reported that eleven different ancient cultures around the world had stone work that displayed the "handbags"  and the bracelets.

For those seeking an Occam's Razoresque solution to this mystery handbag thing, the answer is simple. They are what they appear to be: bags. Does anybody think that carrying devices — baskets, boxes, crates — are new inventions? Didn't people have to carry things since, like, always? That's just a literal interpretation. Even symbolically, doesn't it make sense that gods and rulers would be depicted as holding, or retaining, objects of either plenty (food, drink, wealth) or power?

If you have the talents or unknown (to the crowd) information, thoughts, and/or concepts how do you present it?  You package it into a concept that is easily conveyed across gaps of understanding.  In both cases of the satchels and the wrist bands, we have clear evidence that there is far more to the detailed, stone chisel work across world cultures than what reaches the eye.  The receptive mind can understand far more is behind the stone work.  Assume such obscure messages are as loaded with meaning as Einstein's simple-looking, little equation.
