Behind the scenes...who knows what their relationship actually was like.
Behind the scenes, whatever was going on, i doubt it will ever justify a double murder.
The fella looks like he had problems all the same...

Agreed.
Nothing could justify such a horrific murder.
Clearly, the son 'snapped' (allegedly).
But to spontaneously kill both parents in such a manner seems more than excessive and vengeful for something as simple as being financially cut off.
Was abuse of any kind a factor here?
Hopefully, we'll soon get more from police as to motive for this bloody crime.

Possibly, but if the police are anything like over here, they may not be forthcoming with much information.
It generally goes something along the lines of they don't divulge information with the excuse being that it could lead to an unsafe conviction.
Bang gone are the days when something would happen, and the police happily supply the public with pertinent information.
Hopefully, that's different on your side of the pond.

They say the parents were "stabbed" to death.
BUT, in reality...they BOTH had their throats slit.
"Stabbing" feels like an attack.
A 'Slit throat' feels more like an execution.

I suppose he could have done both.
Or stabbed one and slashed the other's throat.

Newest info...
After the argument at Conan O'Brian's home the night before.
Nick checked into a Santa Monica hotel @ 4am.
He had no blood on him, but employees said he looked tweaked out.
Nick never checked out.
It appears Nick went back to the house in the middle of the night and murdered his parents.
This suggests that they may have been sleeping in bed when they had their throats slit.
Later, he went back to the hotel to clean up...as employees said blood was found all over the shower and in the bed.
Sheets were also hung over the windows of the room.
Nick was found by police on the other side of town in a park near USC.

Which could be expected from a drug-addled addict.
But there is premeditation written all over that account.

The timeline explains how, if they were both asleep in bed, he was able to slit both of their throats without apparent resistance.
In a way...it's somewhat of a relief to know that they may have not been conscious to experience their son murdering them.
It's just a horror of a situation.

It's freezing outside and painters are working on my office today, so I'm able to binge on the latest info on this case.
You're welcome.
New report...from Billy Bush:
When the daughter, Romy, found the bodies of her parents...the mother was apparently still barely alive and conscious.
She told her daughter that Nick did it.
The mother died shortly thereafter.
This conflicts with what police had earlier stated.
