I think so. This is too high profile, and they were able to show that there was a minimum of one RA a month every month prior to the accident, and the helicopters weren’t following the route instructions.

New charts have been released removing Route 4 and Route 6 near DCA.

Better late than never, just too bad it took such a tragedy to finally correct the problem.

Almost every major aircraft safety change happens after a major accident or fatal incident.

I wonder, can we get insurance coverage against that hazard?

It appears that what happened was not incompetence at all...

Of course it was DEI. Didn’t you know planes never crashed before DEI started?

This YouTube video was an opinion piece, on a New York Times summary, of the preliminary official report.

Strangely, the vlogger makes no mention of the recommendations of the official report.

And the vlogger only seems to quote from the NYT piece, so I would suspect that they haven't even read the official report.

Here's the official preliminary report:

The resultant of the official investigation was to recommend to change allowed flight paths and times, to prevent two aircraft from occupying the same airspace at the same time. This is the most effective way to prevent such collisions in future.

There were no NTSB recommendations to change rules about whom is to be allowed to pilot. It would not be effective in preventing future collisions, either in the short term, nor after some time after changes to existing staffing.

The NTSB stuck to the event... apparently with dispassion...
which of course will be characterized by activists as grotesque callousness.... (any takers?)

Within the context of an investigation ... "DEI" is nonsensical whimsy... (unless an
activist is involved... as history has reminded us so eloquently.)

Be that as it may, rest in peace, all who were interrupted in living...
