Where's their crime problem? That's the major selling point. 

*If* there are 20 million immigrants, *and* California tries to give sanctuary to 25% of them, **and** Trump hasn't even deported as much as Obama yet, where is OUR crime problem Joe caused?  We should still have at least 4.9 million illegals, or thereabouts, right?

Do they all live in Modesto and Stockton where the outlaw bikers used to make meth? Because Central Valley is agricultural and leans conservative, but also has way higher crime rates than the coastal liberal cites. 

Can you fit them all into The Conservative Central Valley?Into Oakland? Sacramento? 

Will ANYONE take my challenge?? 

San Fransisco, San Diego, and San Jose all recorded violent crime rates under 500/100,000 and recorded less than 28 murders each.  San Jose had a violent crime rate 1/4 that of rural America (194.6) at 53/100,000.

So I'll make a bet...

If ANYONE can find me a state that's safest 3 large cities of over 300,000 residents have a lower 2025 crime rate than those 3, I will admit California is one of many decaying cesspools of illegals, and never post an opinion opposing ICE's necessity here again. Maybe even leave in shame of losing? 

I dont think anyone can, and I think our stats fly in the face of  "the illegal problem" in my state. 

I couldn’t care less if they just stole a candy bar nor do I care about your crime rate stats you keep repeating, being in the country illegally is a crime and they should be deported.  It’s a slap in the face to every immigrant that’s gone through the process to be a legal citizen.   My niece is one of them.   

I could go into many issues I personally have with illegals and how they’ve directly affected me but that’s for another thread.  You should start one on the topic.

Are you aware of Godwin's Law? It basically states that most internet "debates" will eventually spiral down into references to Hitler.    It infers that the first to cast the Hitler card has lost.   I don't have a horse in this particular race, however I have my own opinion about it.    I like to share Godwin's Law whenever I see it, because it distills down to a basic Strawman Logical Fallacy, which seems to be the antithesis to a healthy discussion/debate.  I do love me a balanced debate/discussion.

Can you tell me what logical reasoning assures that 'observations noting similarities to Nazis' mean that someone has automatically lost a debate? Perhaps the similarities just exist?

I mean, Neo-Nazis knowingly try and emulate Hitler and his staff, and they do seem to be successful in radicalizing others. People who speak out exposing and opposing such actions can't be gagged simply by invoking a humorous observation such as Godwin's (which while it may frequently be the case, is not, in actuality a 'law').

I can further support my observations in that Mike Godwin himself drew frequent comparison between 'Hitler and his henchmen' and the alt-right, and very specifically, Donald Trump:

You see, the alt-right have been desperately trying to do a bit of image astroturfing in many things, to stop normal people who have compassion and a conscience, from calling them out for their ideological evil.

A good example of this is their ridicule of good caring and socially responsible people as being "Woke". What they fail to recognise is that the right-wing use of term identifies the right-wing as narrow minded, selfish, greedy, bigoted, and usually racist - the things that "woke" people oppose.

But thank you for allowing me to reinforce my observations about the similarities of Hitler and Trump by mention of another, a more famous thought leader, who has noted the same.

A Narcissist just like Trump.  I always described him as a moving train on a track that nothing got in his way.  If it did - he just barreled through without a second thought. 

He didn't make choices like "normal" people -- he just pushed forward believing he was right about everything.  And money was his goal.

I see Trump for what he is.

I'm too busy believing i am undermining the premise of ICE being needed in our "decaying cities."

Our states budget and approaching healthcare-related deficit is a small drop in a half trillion dollar pail. The only real threat to our economy is this 5% billionaires tax. But even the governor opposes that.

Not worth a Thread.. 

But I think highlighting how my states historically low crime rate while being a sanctuary state deserves some emphasis. Especially if ICE is cleaning up our cities. 

I agree Good was reckless. Her wife was reckless, and the cop was reckless. We are all largely bias and reckless.

But i want to stop talking about people and discuss the underlying ideas that deem ICE agents necessary and sets off rapid shortsighted protestors to block ICE agents with their car. I feel the anger to play "Tienamen Square Tank Guy" too.

And I would rather discuss the lie that justifies ICEs presence in our communities, and prompts my bias to react to them.  

I think if you start a nationwide nationalist operation based on something largely considered BS propaganda you should be prepared to "on ignore" people who want to offer evidence that undermines the basis of Trump's undocumented call to arms.
